As I said in my previous post I do wonders with a condition build. It’s easy for a target to get a load of condition, not just from you, and let Epicdemic melt an entire wave.
The Husks are very resistant to direct damage so condition builds works really well.
You don’t need your guardian to do Silverwastes, the way you would need it for Orr. Mobs drop no loot so the ability to tag everything isn’t as useful.
The necromancer pro is that with all the defense it has, Silverwastes is easy.
The con is that you are slow. Even focus swiftness is slow because it inevitably hits something and puts you into combat. You do not have the option to run around the map tagging events for other people to complete. You do not have the option to try and tag up to three of the underground bosses for triple loot.
You’ll have to do the content instead of just leeching as fast as possible for a lot of crests and shovels.

Basically this. It’s not particularly efficient in the sense you’re not gonna get max loot, but it is more satisfying (if you enjoy actually playing the game and fighting things instead of just “ding-dong ditching” everything)
The worst the players are around you, the more support Necro brings. In SW, people are constantly going down! Either they’re new to fighting the mobs or a Teragriff caught them off guard (and they got juggle’d on the trail). So! You could be saving lives, OP.
Personally, my Necro isn’t my bulkiest (probably Ele) or my hardest hitter (either Ele or Engi), but! It’s one of the most fun I have in SW. It’s satisfying to walk through a crowd of Mordrem, pop DS, then hit 4. Feels even better if people are down’d (sorry!). Also, DS is great if a Teragriff sneaks up on you.
Necromancer is fine in SW. MM and power-wells both work. Dagger is a good power main w/o minions. Axe is fair with them but otherwise not. Staff condi transfer is nice on occasion with all the conditions. Scepter is good with minions, too, though it takes longer to kill, even after switching to condi gear. MM dagger you tank for them. MM scepter you kite while they tank and blow up.
Power Spectral terror is fun, too.
