starting life force

I’m done trying with anet, so I do with what we have: traited shout heal can be used twice for at least 10% LF before engaging in a fight. I’m now expecting a nerf.

as long as you have soulmarks you build up lifeforce really quickly. Land 1-2 marks before truly comitting and you have some lifeforce to use
@Baseleader.4128 we need LF at start because every profession has some move skills from utility or weapon. necro hasnt.. if we can start with %5-%10 LF we gonna use RS 2 for movement thats it. but i guess its been 3 years we saying same thing. nothing happend

Thats bad design.
We all know how to do it, what i mean is that youre DEMANDING free hits.
Any class can do some ranged free damage, but no ranger needs to land a full longbow channel in order to wake up the pet at all.
Its a snowball mechanic + handy bug of -23% LF on death.
Immediately when poeple saw the itself balancing energy bar of revenant, they wanted a simliar minimal threshhold for lifeforce.
The only Q is how much, most pvp/wvw agree on something 20-50%

Actually, Soul marks gives the Life Force when the Mark triggers, regardless of if it actually hits anything or not.
why are we talking about soul marks like its a stand alone trait that grants life force from heaven. It requires a staff. If your build/playstyle doesn’t work with staff then it doesnt work to bring up soul marks as a defense for bad design.
I start games with 15% life force. With that, I can enter Reaper for one or two quick Death Charges. But that requires putting two skills on cooldown. If I decide to go home, I usually have one skill still on about a 10-15 second cooldown if the enemy decides to contest the point at the start. Would I like to start with, say 20% and none of my skill already recharging? Yes, especially considering that I have give up so much in terms of build options just to get that 15%.

Their answer each time made sense. The same as when they answered why life force doesn’t decay like other professions energy mechanics.

Do you intend on sharing this answer with us? Why life force doesnt decay like other professions? what?

The answers were always in connection with a bugfix, warrior adrenaline nerf or the change to prebuffing in pvp.
It was never a stand alone balance and QoL discussion, just a statement on something else to not upset the crowd.
Theres soo many pros a standardiztion would bring, to all 3 sides (player, enemy player and balance dev), that the topic is worth pushing for.
