I don’t think the locust stack longer if you have more boon time.
Locus doesn’t seem to be a boon, I think you can only make it last longer by traitings for Warhorn.
Didn’t test tho.

I used to wanna make a Centaur Rune+Dagger/Wh+DS power build with permanent LF generation and swiftness, the fact that it doesnt work for as long as you have swiftness on ruined it for me a nice chunk of time ago, still WH 5 is great and the LF generation works while in DS.
Ya, it doesn’t stack that from what I can tell. You can’t extent the locusts or the actual spectral part of spectral walk with boon duration.
There are a lot of +swift, + boon duration runes. Speed, Ice, water.
The Locust Swarm and Swiftness are two separate boon. The Locust Swarm boon (similar to quickness and stealth) cant be increased by boon duration so for example putting 30 points in Death Magic will increase your swiftness to 13 seconds but keep Locust Swarm at 10.
Note: Curses VIII Trait (Banshee’s Wail) will increase the duration of both effects by 30%)

ah… dam…. thanks for clearing that up…. guess there goes my dream of being a perma locust swarm, would have been awesome if it worked that way…. now its just the mobile version of the those spiky things thiefs throw on the floor, but its nice to know that trait will increase its duration + reduce the recharge so i guess we can maintain locust form about half the time? guess i’ll stack might duration instead of boon. Thanks again for all the replies
I’d really like more ways to trigger locust swarm effect, it feels very unique to the class and the sort of thing that promotes the ‘philosophy’ of the necromancer.

well there’s a trait (deathly swarm I think its called), that triggers it on 25% hp, which is terrible, but because of the DS hp trigger bug, you can effectively trigger it on demand. I haven’t checked to see if it will stack in duration with the war horn though. Also fun fact, the swarm this trait causes, it’s duration is effected by the war horn trait.
Edit: it’s called decaying swarm, trait 8 of soul reaping.
Edit 2: It’s got an internal CD of 90 seconds, and they don’t stack in duration.
