I was glancing over the new specialization changes and noticed my little terrormancer/courrption PvP soloq build is completely destroyed by these notes. I was running 2-6-xx-6 Staff SC/D Agony sigils.

Curses: iV, iX, Xiii
Soul Reaping: iii, ii, Xi
ran it with rabid amulet(nightmare runes) Spite signit, Corrupt boon and Spectral grasp.
Basically the immobile build revolved around using Death Shroud 2, to corrupt enemies and move around a fight. The idea was to basically fear lock people into massive condis through corruptions and bleeding stacks(which in turn make the fear hit a bit harder). So as soon as someone used stability or a stun breaker my corrupt boons/spectral grasp would made short work of their chance to fight back. By the time the chain cc was finally lifted they found themselves respawning.
Because my necro is completely immobile, i decided to give him a strong DeathShroud, that lasted longer. Since i wasn’t using flesh worm for an escape. Needed some kind of defense since my only stunbreaker was/is the spectral armor minor trait. So in turn i set myself up to be chain cc’d myself, but with good dodge rolls, awarness of when the trait would pop health percentage wise and well timed fears i usually out CC’d someone else.
But with the new patch notes, you are forced to choose between whether or not you want to be a terrormancer, a corruption necro or death shroud necro(atleast with the traits i was using).
-With Master curses trait line being changed forces you to choose between the Terrormancer and corruption. [Path of Corruption: Shroud skill 2 converts boons on struck foes to conditions.
Terror: Causes fear to deal damage per second scaling with your condition damage stat. Damage is increased vs foes that have at least one other condition on them.]
-Then in Soul Reaping master traitline being changed also forces you to choose between terrormancer and deathshroud necro. [Vital Persistence: Life force drains 50% slower while in shroud and the recharge of shroud skills is reduced by 15%.
Fear of Death: Fear duration is 50% longer. When you are downed, fear foes around you for 1s].
I just had the best of all 3 worlds, But that’s what i felt made it fun too, since i wasn’t running a complete “meta build”… and I wouldn’t say it was OP. kappa.. Just you were capable of doing alot with a huge death shroud that just wouldn’t quit.
