can this auto feature be an option pls it makes putting down a healing well slower and easier to die esp if ur targetting elsewhere

This is seriously a great baseline feature. You just have to get used to it is all; it’s really never something you should want to turn off once you’re skilled with the class’s current incarnation.

This. I don’t want my profession to get nerfed because people can’t handle ground targeting and refuse to fast cast.

I had two builds, one I ran in WvW with ground targeted wells and a fear build in EotM that I’d sometimes swap in wells that didn’t have ground targeting.

I had to get used to not having ground targeting, it took some time to adjust to the fact that it would drop at your feet, but eventually it became something I didn’t think about.

Now that it’s baseline I have to adjust again but at least I don’t have to get in melee range to drop the well anymore.

It does make Well of Blood and Well of Power slightly harder to use when you’re under pressurfe and you need to get them off fast, but it’s a matter of practice.

I find it slightly easier if I quickly pull my mouse cursor down to the skill bar just before I cast: ground targeted skills get cast at your feet if your cursor is somewhere not actually targeting.

Also remember that, for Well of Power, you still get the full 5" effect even if you’re not standing in it, so if you’re stunlocked and getting wailed on just hit the key, doesn’t matter where you aim it.

Use fast casting on release or even instant. Map wells or any other ground targeted spell onto your mouse buttons. I suggest using an MMO mouse like the Razer Naga or Logitech G600. It’s so much better, believe me.

It should work with any mouse or keyboard. If the game receives the input for the skill twice it just casts it where the cursor is. If your cursor is on the skill button (in the case where you double click) then it casts it directly on your feet. If you double tap the hotkey then you have to mind where the mouse cursor is because it’ll cast it on the cursor.

I am shocked how inept some players are… Not even consider looking through the option menus or trying stuff differently or check the wiki etc.

If you map it on a mouse button you can use instant or on release ground targeting. Try that, it’s worth a lot.
