what does anet wanna necor stand for?
We are “fairing quite well” so obviously all we need is a dark, agnsty theme and the ability to mildly punish boon stacking the way we melt like a vet mob in core PvE is just symbolism for how far the game has come.

Anet wants necro to stad for a pinata.
Main focus for necro:
- Healh
- condi
- lifesteal
Give to necro more tourment, burn, freeze and a single condi for our class comparable to agony.
Delete and melt lichform with DS.
And more …
Necromancer is for players that love underdogs.
Everything fails we are just a boon corrupt bot and target dummy and a big target to pull, knockback, immobilize and other cc’s stunlock, kite and zerg to hell for half decent players.
Thats what i got bored of. I liked it but people avoid my condi damage easy mode + clear it or blocking, evade, miss, dodge, invu all the time than heal back to full. Using all my damage skills and they are on full hp while i almost die to their first burst rotation. Also all of the elite skills feel kinda weak compared to other classes.
They don’t feel elite in current state of the game. It’s almost just like a way for stability and thats it, all of them are very easy to counter/avoid and not that powerful.
So we again there “if you have stronger team thats already winning the game” than necro and necro elites can be useful to farm enemies even more.
If you don’t have strong team than all elites are close to useless.
For example if a mesmer getting ganked he can moa 1 so its minus 1 player pressure on him good for defense or if he wants to avoid a 1v1 and go help somewhere instead. Or use it to focus moa target down good for offense too. Thats what i call something like elite.

answer : meatshield
We are “fairing quite well”
Obviously! As a meatshield we can distract the opponents for a short moment which is supposed to give our team the time to do their work. Necro being focus as soon as he join the fight is in fact the apotheosis of it’s niche as a tank.
and what tweak u guys thinking anet maby has chance do it?
Change Signet of undeath passive into “Gain life force when struck by a foe. ICD 1 second LF gain 2%”
Should be a pretty balanced change with a not so overwhelming buff on a signet that almost nobody use. And Yeah I know that it look like spectral walk.
Change Plague into : “Poison and weaken foes that struck you (no ICD and no transformation. Not disabled while entering in shroud). Take 50% less damage from poisoned foes. Stun break and keep stability pulse as it is.”
A kind of Retaliation that use conditions to hurt the ennemy! How something like that could not fit the necromancer?
