where have my minions gone ?
It seems to be because they’re fighting now. I, too, was worried when I started attacking a Risen and my minions all left my side to go do stuff. But then they helped my kill it faster.
no, my minions de-spawn on the map, as if all killed at once … all of them!

For me they die every time I step on to a new scaling area. I am not sure if it’s due to a trait bug or what. And it happens all over the world, not just certain areas. The trigger seems to be the scaling. Plus something else that I haven’t yet fiddled around with.

I really hope it is a bug. I filed a report- they leave in such a clunky way I can’t believe it’s a new added “feature”.

yeah it’s making me mad as-well…can’t get in a fight in a high level area, because i’m afraid my minions will reset..been sitting in queensdale now for day number 2..they reset every time you cross a sub-area….i miss the gws 1 days when i could keep summoning minions one after another and get 10-15 minions..this 5 minion thing is bad..but them dying every few seconds when you walk is worst.
I had this issue too. I saw the thread about minion scaling, I suppose it is the reason.
But it is doing that since the latest patch only. Hope it is a bug as well.

There were already several patches since the big one, but no sign of this countermeasure.

This was happening to me too … it appears to be a bug with the trait Flesh of The Master. they have added a new component causing your minions to de-spawn when you change the trait but it is happening whilst the trait is equipped . Since removing this trait my minions have not de-spawned once … please fix anet!
A-net does not read this section of the forum, hopefully it’s reported in the bugs section – that way there might be a fix before 2016.

I had reported it the day it happened.
It takes time to fix. They might not know what part of the code is causing it, how to fix it, etc. and its unlikely that they can just roll back the change.
I noticed the same thing about map changes causing a reset for minions. Not particularly happy about it but they do not seem to go on full CD. It is more like they were interrupted.
