Hi folks,
im finally gotten all the mats for ascended together. So what is best?

right now I play a hybrid necro and love it. I only PvE.

I am going to wait for the changes to crit before I make it, but right now and going forward, what ascended armor would you make for hybrid necro. I have celestial exotic at the moment.

oh, I use scepter, dagger and axe, focus as weapons

If you have celestial exotics .. just run with that.. one of the most expensive and time consuming armor types to get in game..

Rampager if u play hybrid

Full rampager is precision overkill. Depending on the rest of the build you might want to supplement with berserker or carrion.

Yes but not celestial, it´s only usefull if u need/want thoughness/vita.
On the other side, u can stack power/conditiondmg instead of precision to get 90% + critchance groupbuffed.

Well but i agree rampager should be changed to Power/prec/condi oder Condi/power/prec.

Maybe this is dumb ? but is someone recommending celestial for necro? Have lots of crystals so that’s no problem and working on ascended. Use toon a lot in wvw now, running pvc w runes of tormenting on one set of armor w staff, well, sigils of malice and torment on weapons.
Had thot maybe dire would be good for condi necro but don’t see it mentioned by anyone. Any information would be welcome – and no I am not a zerker type. lol

Dire is great in wvw zerging, but in smaller groups you want (or do you?) more precision.

i would say berserker if you still want to be decent in wvw / pvp but if you are looking for a more tanky build cleric is your best choice because the healing draw , just don’t expect to kill anything , just last a tiny bit longer than usual . , for pve you cant go wrong with rabid but make sure you have suprior rune of the undead and 30 into toughness to get that extra % into power and 30 into precision of course . 10 into maybe power for the might increase .

With arenanet’s balancing practices? I wouldn’t recommend investing in ascended armor at all (If you wish to remain sane) if you enjoy playing hybrid builds. If you are still adamant about it, I would try to make a set of armor that doesn’t use critical damage or condition damage because they are due for some big changes.

I’ve finished my entire set but as someone who uses a hybrid build, I regret wasting all that time and money with the upcoming changes.

Condition damage will be changed?

I would hold off getting any ascended armour until you are 100% sure what you want to play. Atm beserker is the meta for all classes and even with the ferocity changes in march that likely wont change. However if we see a new condi stat combo like condi main, power & prec minor then necros could become pretty strong as a condi spec class. All depends on whether anet introduces more husk style mobs though.
