Guild Wars 2

Yesterday I was playing my Cele-Ele in Skyhammer(FML )and capping home, when I was suddenly assaulted by what I presumed to be a warrior. I went into panic-turtle-shell mode b.c in only a few seconds I was almost dead (this is through protection/earth attunement). I have to admit I was really surprised when I saw it was a Ranger b.c he was entirely melee.

While he wasn’t particularly tanky, he wasn’t that squishy either so I’m not sure what Ammy he was running…anyways I just thought I would share b.c I thought it was interesting…I’ve never run into a melee ranger before that could do that sort of damage in that little time =D.

Must have been your imagination because no ranger can almost kill you in a few seconds with melee. 3k maul is our best melee spike.

I think Skyhammer shoot you in same time with rangers attack

You can get quite a lot of damage on your enemy, most of the burst occuring within the first 3 seconds. Basically Pet/Weapon Swap to GS, quickness entangle. wail on them. You can try it out Blooperz and see if it seems similar. I don’t really care to fight forum warriors qqing that ranger is in a bad spot.

Remorseless ranger with sword+axe/greatsword will burst you hard as hell, you can use any of the power amulets and do high damage even soldiers works but obviously the ones with crit damage hurt even more, I find elems to be especially easy to kill with this probably cause most of them try to get into melee not expecting that is what you want.

@Photinous catch someone unaware with this you can kill pretty much anyone in a few seconds.

We don’t think that rangers are bad. We just know if we’ll agree that rangers can do damage, then it will be nerfed for shore.

Haha ah, right, gotcha. I don’t usually main ranger, so I don’t feel the hits as much, but now that you mention it… anytime ranger poked into the meta, anet did take out the hammer.
