it never accord to me 1 year later that the drakes tail swipe attack is also classed as a blast finisher? i only just noticed this 3 days ago after changing my ranger build, i cant be the only one to not notice this right?

The description says blast, so I guess you never read the skill UI.

i didn’t run drakes till recently probs why, but was quite a surprise having my HS blasted by it

Rangers can equip 4 blast : 2 reliable (WH and clarion bound) and 2 unreliable from drake (Note that this skill have priority in the drake skill rotation. He will use it first on CD if you do not [F2])

Older rangers are very aware of that because before the WH update that made Call of the Wild a blast finisher, drakes tail swipe was our ONLY blast finisher available.

Yeah as someone else noted they prioritize using it, so if you pet swap to a drake mid-fight it will immediately tail swipe if it’s ready to use.
