30 Point MM
I think the main problem is it competes with BM and WS, are two best trait lines.
It does compete with BM and WS. But now that signets have reduced cooldowns, it’s a much stronger traitline. I’ve played with signets a bit since the last patch and they are a ton of fun. The combination of signet of the wild and signet of the hunt makes your maul really formidable. And having signet of stone is just amazing. You can down a player, be taking fire from the rest of their team, pop signet of stone to get the stomp and then escape.
I use it in dungeons with nature magic and spirits. This is the new ranger dungeon meta.
The only thing I dislike about MM is the minor traits aren’t as flexible as every other tree. Opening Strike is sexy, but I find only pays off with Remorseless in most PvE. And that competes with the Signet trait.
On the other hand, that’s not that bad, because I just run Remorseless on trash and Signet on bosses. I’m just irked all minor traits involve opening strike and kind of go out the window on a single target or long fight without Remorseless. If I am wrong, I’d love to be.
And to go 30 deep when I like at least 20 in WS (the minors and Martial Mastery), Skirmishing (the minors and Quick Draw/Honed), and at least reaching for Nature’s Protection, sometimes things get stretched.
It’s good, and I really enjoy Signets and comboing it with spirits, but it’s up against some tough competition.
If they tweaked the minors, I would give it a serious look. As is, I find the minors in every other line more valuable, which hurts my investment in it for PVE.
In PvP I adore it because the name of the game is kill.
If you do, then I suggest going 30 in WS to build on the condition duration established in MM and to get the defense. You’d also probably want to focus less on healing and more on damage mitigation (toughness/evades/blocks/dodges).

Still running my old RRR build because why not
Maybe 30MM-30WS-10NM for Nature’s Prot?
Actually, I suppose this would shine with Sword/Dagger. My worry with Steady Focus is I like to dodge, which negates that trait’s boost, but with S/D…
I use 30MM, 30 Skirmishing, 10WS I run Sword/Dagger, Greatsword, signet build with Hunt, Wild and Stone. Maul people for mad damage with Wild&Hunt together, Stone for survivability when unable to avoid damage. Specced for Moment of Clarity to increase damage on Maul as well. Works very well when used properly.
