Hi Rangers! I’m a main-a-holic and want to get my ranger a set of every exotic armor. I’m trying to come up with a unique rune set for each type of gear. I’m aware that I’ll never use most of these! Personally I pve, but wvw suggestions are great.

What do you think? Ruby orbs all around? If a ranger equips magi gear does everyone get kicked out of the map?

This post is really cool. Durzlla and I had a similar idea for a “ranger rolodex” of builds. For the living story I made a “flame and frost” build that used rampager and was a lot of fun. It’s on the forums somewhere.

Need more people posting on this. Cool stuff. I might come back later to contribute something to this thread. seeya

I’m not sure doing this is a good thing, when it comes to builds. Runes are very much like traits; the effects matters more then the stats they provide. So while Rune of the Scholar makes sense for berserker, when looking at the stats, something like Rune of Hoelbrak might be more valuable for your berserker build, if it doesn’t have enough condition removal. Or maybe you decide to make a berserker build based around chill, in which case Rune of the Ice would be a better choice. I would wait until I knew which build I wanted for an armor set, and then decide on the runes for that build. Runes should be one of the last things you add to your build.
