A potential reason for the silence?
Bots should be in no way taken into consideration when balancing a class. I am not saying they are taking them into consideration, but I have read a lot of posts about people assuming they don’t want to buff the “bots”.
PvP/PvE skills can/are balanced separately….and well ranger botters aren’t much of a problem in PvP so…..
This is my hope as well. I play necro & ranger, the 2 most ignored-by-devs classes out there and I’m hoping for a big overhaul that’s in the works. My forum posts probably make me seem bipolar, spouting my faith in Anet for never having let me down in the past in one breath and then complaining how my necro and ranger are being ignored when the whole community is begging for answers. All I can say is that I’m really enjoying this game. Despite its numerous profession bugs, Anet is constantly patching and working and I’m just trying to keep the faith that they’ll release a big patch that fixes all the bugs (for all the professions) that everyone (even me) has been complaining about. Until then, I’ll keep rolling thru Tyria.

I really don’t want to believe this at first, but after these past few weeks I am starting to believe it. I feel it IS due to the bots and AN is afraid to do any kind of “buffing” to the Ranger because of bots.
Thats why they want to change the other skills instead of Crossfire, they just don’t know how to do so! And that’s why are are not getting any kind of information from them.
I appreciate your opptomism, I hope you are right. Still, I can’t help but feel let down that my favorite class is held hostage by what botters might do. It’s a bad way to manage the botter problem.
