Do you think there will be a comeback of the exotic/hard to get ranger pets kinda like the black widow in gw1

and what sort of new pets would you guys hope for when we would be able to set foot in cantha or elona?

If there’s one pet i’d want, it would be the basilisk.

celestial pets, zombie pets, robot/cyborg pets, alien pets, dark shadow pets, radiation/toxic pets, steroid/huge pets, faster/smaller pets, these could be of any kind…take existing pets and tweak them for new effects, new stats, etc. easy enough, and cheap enough I’m sure for GW2

3.) Raptor

I would live to see dolyaks and minoraurs- and any other cool animal that is more mythical and outside the realm of the typical large cat/wolf breed. I also am in love with some of the pet customization ideas player have presented such as pet dyes and pet armour, I wonder if we could get something official from ANet stating whether this is something they are considering?

Eh, completely new species of animals would definately be nice and are probably a given. But even of the animals already in the game, there are quite a few I’d be glad to see added. Wouldn’t even need to be expansions, could just be added in standard periodic updates to already-existing areas. Off the top of my head, I would really like to see the following added…

~ Worm (particularly of the ranged variety, EG Plains Worms, though there could be one or two of each type)
~ Caterpillar (could also be ranged, need more ranged options besides spiders and devourers)
~ Raptor
~ Hermit Crab
~ Thunder Shrimp
~ Scorpion Fish (especially the glowing deep sea variety)
~ Griffon
~ Bat (could be a neat Halloween addition!)
~ Basilisk

Octopus. (with like 8×12 constriction or suffocation type damage and an Ink effect like blind or poison)
Lions (Roar/claws etc.)
Gorilla’s (Roar/Throw or knock back)
Snakes (high precision/constriction/spitting/poisons etc. Depending on species.
Tigers
Rams
Swordfish (Piercing/Impaling)
Mastiff’s
Even the Deers would be nice to train.
Anyway, just some idea’s.

OMG! if you make dolphins charmable, I will love this game FOREVER! I want a pet dolphin!

and my personell favroite from 5 years ago on the gw1 forums: i want my own Ettin or Troll…
and the idea above with pet options such as an amulet for attributts or armor.
