Personally waiting for Camelot Unchained. DaOC is what started the whole WvW meta of play. Hope they can pull it off. In either case, if both do well maybe it will get the devs/company to pay more attention to WvW.
Johnny Johnny – Ranger (Ehmry Bay)
Hárvey Wallbanger – Alt Warrior (Ehmry Bay)
Agreed, camelot unchained I hope will be very good, and they have a large class set to choose from with alot of them having very cool and unique things they do. DaoC has always been an innovator so I’m sure they have alot of good kitten in the works. I just hope they can balance properly with that many classes, something like 30-40 classes I think but they really look good.

kitten right. Been following camelot unchained since kickstarter—DAOC is what started my whole mmo craze back in the day. I’m just gonna rdie out this kitten storm here until Oct.
Sooooo many classes to choose from just like daoc
Will be moving to BDO, too. They do Ranger and even Beast Tamers (pet classes) better than Ranger. Not to mention mounting the pet and attacking while on it is pretty awesome. x)
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
the classes do look cool c: but i think i’ll be waiting to see how the gameplay etc etc is before i moved to it :p.
yea i’ll be watching the gameplay for both those games when they come out to see if I want to make a move. For all it’s problems gw2 is still one of the best out there if you’re not into WoW.
Yep, i like Gw2 in many ways , but balance and direction of the game in both PvP and direction of the ranger class itself has really just turned me off of the game in general.
They did ranger so well in BDO though , after playing one to 40 and PvPing with it alot I realize just how good a ranger themed class can be. I mean yea, NA BDO has some issues , but it’s in beta and the things I have issues with are noted as to be fixed in the near future mainly the lag and not having an NA physically based server in the states, which they are working on I think they said it would be placed in Dallas or maybe California somewhere, not sure but they’re working on that.

Profession here are way underdeveloped and neglected and more one dimensional…
I like the general feeling of combat and moment and attacks, but I feel way too restricted in many ways when playing.
Professions and combat are my number one concern here and always has been. Our characters are the “life blood” and core to alllllll else, and we can see the minimal resources and effort devoted to all things profession here… Don’t get me wrong, I know a lot of work went into the game, but the word “effort” means “love” so to speak.
I personally get the feeling that professions were built more for the devs and ease of coding time, not for the “fun factor” and flexibity and long term retention of players/end users… Does that make sense?
I spent a long time playing a different ncsoft game and was blown away by all things character… It had absolutely amazing character, combat, movement, power/skill, role… designs and you really really felt like a “hero” individually and as a team, and encounters felt really really really amazing… Such fast paced fun and had all the systems to back it up…
Gw2 is better in some ways, but in the profession/class/character and combat department, it’s really “meh” feeling compared…
I really felt the “love” poured into “professions” there, but here… nope. It all feels pretty “empty”…

Same here. Didin’ t buy gw2 Hot. Saved my money for BDO.
It’ s a great game. And rangers there are very good.
Whereas in gw2 rangers are…..yeah….you know what i mean XD

yes, it seems like Aney doesnt have any programmers but only designers. and the designers use something similar to Atavism mmo Creator.
there is so much you can stretch from those designers before need to code.
Designers are cheaper but Aney needs to have more programmers in the game improving its mechanics not just bringing the first person view.
i’ve never played Daoc but i do actually intend to try it, some of the classes there and things Look really interesting, the 0 PvE idea really does appeal to me tbh, i guess it’ll really depend on how Much i can attach myself to its WvW Design.
(i’ve never really Played WvW on any meaningful scale, it’d be a new playstyle for me to learn realistically)
the reason why gw2 is popular is cuz of the great fluid combat. if any other mmo can catch a flow like that in their unique way then go for it i say. but till then, gw2 is where its at.
I used to be a power ranger, now not sure anymore
Camelot Unchained backer here. Waiting for CU. I’ve done the Korean MMO scene way to many times and have been let down each time (Aion, Arch Age, etc.) I am really hoping CU turns out to be amazing. As a guy who’s first MMO was DAOC I’m a bit biased but I’m really rooting for this game.
I played DAOC, I played WARhammer—and I see Camelot Unchained as being just as laggy and unresponsive as the first games were. The graphics.. while I know they don’t make everything, just don’t look good. And the way warhammer was handled, bad taste in my mouth. I’ll give it a wide birth until I see otherwise.
Black Desert Online- Remaining cautiously optimistic. I hope I can build a new computer before I play that. I am really stretching the boundaries of this upgraded 7 yr old, homebuilt I have now.

Me too. I don’t care about the graphics as long as the gameplay is fun and more balanced than this game.
