[Allie´s Aid] switch "Guard¡" with "S&R¡"
And what about those of us who use it so we can have our pet reviving a downed ally while we prevent stomps during the process, and who did NOT slot Search and Rescue?
If you slot S&R why would you take the trait also?

I am more like to use the trait then the utility
actually the idea would be quiet good if the pet would take 95% less dmg because its actually not targeted, but it doesnt and it dies. They should fix guard and put it into this trait and everything would went fine.
9 Sylvari, 9 unique Builds.
Just change the trait to work whenever an ally is downed within 600 radius.

I don’t follow… how do you mean?
I’m assuming he means that the first ally to die within range, in excess of the ICD time, would instantly be teleported to the nearest Ranger, and then the pet would attempt to revive. This would be either completely automatic, or possibly tied to the Ranger healing skill.

Interesting, but is that something you would always want to happen?
I agree the trait should be modded however, it does still gives 10% increase revive speed tho so not entirely useless and if someone dies at your feet you don’t need to use s&r.

This opens up to a ton of accident griefing.
There was a necro that keep using transfusion to spawn downed players into AoE to intentional cause them to go down.
But what if I get teleported into the AoE of death? This will hurt people more than help them.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
I’d rather have Allies’ Aid work similar to the Function Gyro on the Scrapper. If the trait is slotted, you have the option to use it on a downed ally you have selected within range by pressing F / “Interact” when available, and the pet will then teleport said ally to you and start reviving them.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Ok there are may good ideas to change this trait, it just went for the easiest to do (just changing what skill you use), but if Anet wants to do a little proggraming, then any of what you suggested may be better tan jus changing to “Guard¡”.
