talking more small scale stuff.

been running power build with long bow and sword/dagger. mix of skills with one trap, one stun break and the regen signet.

It is “ok”. Was thinking of mixing it up and try to find something with axe/?? and then not sure. assume sword/warhorn?

anyway, thoughts?

I personally enjoy Axe/ Axe + Greatsword. I wear PvT armor with melandru runes/ lemongrass food. I use one sigil of fire to tag with axe, and either a sigil of battle or a sigil of hydromancy on the offhand. Sigil of Energy of Greatsword.

Traits are 10/ 0/ 30/ 30/ 0. I spec into giving me boons when my pets die, and I only use pets like the moa to give boons. Barkskin scales pretty well with a lot of toughness/ vitality with condition removal via melandru/ lemongrass. I use to use the sigil for condition removal also, but for me, it wasn’t useful enough and I just picked up evasive purity instead.

For utilities, I enjoy either the poison/ frost trap with muddy terrain. Swap the run speed sigil for the regen one or keep the third slot open for whatever you think you’ll need the most for the fight. Rampage as one is pretty necessary since you’ll be in the front line providing water fields and chill/poison. If you want to stay back and chunk axes, then you can switch to your spirit elite for battle rezzing. Your offhand axe provides decent utility with it’s pull if you decide to melee train it though.

This build doesn’t do a lot of damage, but it tags very well, and it’s a lot of fun for me.

I guess I missed the “small scale” stuff. Small scale on this server is like.. 15v15. It’s super rare to get 1v1s or less here unless you meet up by the borderland’s windmill or something.

Yeah, this is the ever popular condi/regen ranger build. It’s more of a 1v1, sPvP build, though, in my opinion. But it’s a good build.
