With raids planned for the future, I put together a set of Nomad’s armor and stuck Druid runes on it. Haven’t had the time yet to test it out on my druid, but I was wondering if anyone else had the same idea or if anyone had yet encountered a situation where this was worth it?

I healed a lot in GW1 and other games so I’m expecting to be put in back- to mid-line healer role for raids in the future. Seems like the Toughness would be solid to have for personal defense and our damage would be negligible anyhow in a raid.

(Obviously, nomads + druid doesn’t work in most of pve-land)

Pretty much the same.

For WvW, I currently play in ascended Nomad + Druid runes to test, I will most likely switch to Monk runes. Dunno yet.

I will also prepare a Zealot set if they end up fixing our resource generation.

Earix – GvG Player – Druid / Soulbeast
Pirate Chips [LAYS] – Server Hopping (EU)

Heya,

I am literally loving Nomad’s Armor+ Druid Runes + I also turned my weapons into Minstrel Stats for the Boon Duration. I also have Superior Sigil of Benevolence which ads 12.5% outgoing heal effectiveness when stacked.

This is basically a healing monster. No damage at all! I still need to complete the story (I guess) to get my Minstrel Rings, Necklace and Trinkets, But I don’t have enough Laurels at the moment anyway, so for now I’m using my Apothecary, which only deducts Vitality, so not a major stat issue on healing.

I play 100% WvW and I was testing in a small group, and We did not even come close to dying until we ran into a force more than twice our size. (30ish V 7) Once they found out I was a druid, it was 100% Attack mode on me! The teams will have to be trained to peel from the Healer, as in other games, but that won’t take long to make those adjustments.

Here is a picture of my stats currently – I’ll post my build below in the next post for those interested. I am running full ascended and 2 legendaries so your stats may differ.

Also, get some Delicious Riceball Food, its still super cheap (1.5 silver LOL), but it adds another 100 healing power and 10% outgoing healing effectiveness. I’m only telling you this since I bought 2500 of them already : p the price will go up after this post! If not.. good for us Druids!

This picture is shown with Riceball eaten bringing me to 1,527 Healing Power. With the stacks and Druid Runes – in combat in 2,057 healing power with + 22.5% improved Outgoing Healing (Riceball and Benevolence Combo) It’s actually more because of the Outgoing Healing Trait, but, I can’t find the math to make it quantifiable. It’s over 25% if done as shown below.

Hope this helps!

Here is the build I am currently using. 100% support and team benefit, plus Signet of Stone to be used with Glyph of Unity. You will do no damage with this, so be prepared to be bored during PvD.

Not saying it the best build and will probably be modified over time, but I went with Great-Sword over Ax/Horn for the mobility and stuns so I can kite away if pressed. Plus, they might mistake you for a Guardian, where as with a Horn.. they know what you are instantly.

Here is a healing druid build if you choose to use Warhorn/Ax instead of Great-Sword. This will give you 2 minutes of speed and group Regen of 1Min30sec +. This definitely has some benefits to the group, but what you gain in Regen/speed, you lose in self defense mobility (in my opinion). It really depends on the group.

Yes you can go with sword for the leap and evade – which can be handy for those solo encounters, but you lose the tier 3 trait for ax. So it really depends on your style. I can switch back and forth, but I have found that once they target you, the Great-sword is better to escape and get away.

As always, your feedback is important. I didn’t review any guides to come up with these theories and practices and in no way am I suggesting this is the meta. It just works for me <3
