Anybody over 5000 Attack?
That’s about the highest I’ve gotten it using valkryie and the food that gives +200 power on kill. Ascended is zerk/valkryie mix (bahg nakh). I think I may have been slightly higher I cannot recall and I’d have to double check. But I do not recall breaking 5000.
Haven’t done it yet but it’s doable.
I don’t run valk either and was only using cheap foods, +80 power. So it’s actually only 4683 if you take that off. Dragon buns would add 200 on kill to push it to 4883. I haven’t unlocked guard leach back then and that would put another 100 to 4983. Empower allies would push it well over 5k. If you run valk on top of that it’s just gravy.
Whole lot of good that’d do though. I think the buffing system in this game blows. Boons go away far too quickly. It’s more of a theoretical exercise than an actual target to hit consistently in real usage.
Attack is a fairly useless number, better to look simply at power. So it’s a decent enough rough number, but doesn’t really indicate anything, and is never used in any calculations.
This is because “attack” is the maximum weapon strength of the equipped weapon plus the character’s power, but all damage calculations use the weapon strength multiplied by the character’s power.

Ah ok, thank you for the clarification winter that makes more sense. I wonder how much maul can hit somebody now with ascended weapons and the 7% increase in damage… that 23k maul video may be well over 25k now
btw for anybody who is sick of their builds, power builds like these are extremely fun to run with!

Although true that attack isn’t directly used, that does not make it a useless number. It’s a figure of merit used at the very least to quickly compare builds.
Stand next to a banner of STR & try again ^__^ (+ empower allies warrior in combat maybe)

It is a useless number because it does not reflect the damage you’ll be doing. It’s not proportional to your damage. Two people can have the exact same attack rating and do different damage. Someone can have a lower attack rating and do more damage. Someone else can have a higher attack rating and do less damage. That’s why it’s useless for comparing builds.
It’s like trying to compare how far you biked by adding your speed to your time traveled. “Joe cycled at 20 mph for 20 minutes for 40 total. I cycled at 10 mph for 35 min for 45 total. Therefore I went further than Joe!” You get a nonsense number which is meaningless. In fact Joe’s distance was 20*20 = 400 and your distance was 10*35 = 350.
If you assume everyone has the same tier of weapon (either exotic or ascended), the power rating is proportional to your damage. That’s the stat you should be using for comparisons.
I understand the analogy. There’s nothing wrong with using it for a comparison instead of power in an informal conversation.
Is this before or after the bloodlust point bonus nerf because that will make a big difference.
