Guild Wars 2

I have to constantly be renaming my pets for some reason, I don’t know what triggers it.
Is there any way to prevent this?

The game only remembers the names of the four pets you have “equipped” (2 for land and 2 for water.) Anytime you slot a new pet into one of your four “equipped” slots, its name will default to juvenile and you’ll have to type it in again.

It is pretty annoying.

What’s the point of coming up with fun/cool names for them all if the game’s just gonna forget them as soon as one is unequipped? I am saddened. =<

Yes, I wish the names were remembered. I have put in a suggestion, and hope that they are working on it for a future update. Until then, I won’t worry about it now, just carry on and continue having fun.

She says “Thanks for the suggestion. We’re aware of this request from ranger players.” I can’t help but note that she doesn’t mention that the issue is being worked on. Guess that means we shouldn’t expect any immediate fixes : /

It´s more of an anoyance but i do wish they would fix this eventualy, still i prefer the focus on more serious bugs than purely cosmetic issues.

I find it annoying too.

I concur and just wrote it off as “not really a feature at this time” as I swap pets a great deal. Sad as I’d love to keep some of the names – some as funny but some also as reminders of their abilities when I make quick choices, i.e. zippo for a fire-breather.
