Are LB Rangers stuck to Markmanship
Don’t see why not . It’s pretty much like making melee take a trait to aoe on there auto attacks
Well minus the Druid line bad place for a bow that should be for staffs only
Aside from piercing arrows, quick draw in skirmishing is the most important trait for LB (or any weapon for that matter.) When I run LB, I usually use druid/BM/skirmishing.
With condi lb roamer I’m skirmishing/wilderness survival/druid.
It’s not necessary trait but ya it helps.
wvw stuck to markmanship with lb, I say yes.
It is. One of the reasons I dropped Longbow for Staff is because Staff has piecing by default.
I think Longbow should get piercing by default and give the GM trait a way to get unblockable. Or have it destroy your projectiles that are reflected.

So much this, they’re making the Rifle on Warrior pierce by default (on most skills) on Tuesday so I’m hoping they’re on the ball and do the same for us.
I never felt the need for MM when using lb since the traitchanges in June. I’m only talking about WvW roaming though. In zergfights lb sucks anyway due to the amount of projectile reflect/destruction.
MM is very handy when you are PvEing in maguma… for example for the DS meta event. Helps you tag a lot of mobs for exp.
Looking at 26/January Patch Notes on Warrior:
“Volley: This skill now pierces by default.
Kill Shot: This skill now pierces by default”
Ok, So DragonHunter primary Sources of damage with LB pierces by default.
Now, Warriors Rifle primary damage skills pierce by default too.
Why the Hell rangers still need to waste a GrandMaster Trait to make its kittening arrows pierce?
Actually piercing arrows are counterproductive with all that reflect around.

I will take my chances, in pretty much every other place in the game besides wvw zerging where I won’t even bother playing my ranger.
Um, the LB default range is 1500 and overall it has the highest DPS of any physical ranged weapon. LtW is a massive improvement for the auto attack as well with its 10% increased fire rate.
I would not place it at the GM level. Perhaps at the master level.
