Ok, so there are trait icons for traits we do not have. Could they be a few of the Druid traits?

Agile

• Removed during Beta 2012, yet has a new type trait icon, originally decreased cripple duration.
• Minor Trait
• -25/-33% movement condi, + movement speed increase trait?

Bounty Hunter

• Removed during Beta 2012, yet has a new type trait icon, not known what it did.
• Trait type unknown, has a different icon shape than others.
• +% damage vs boons on target?

Call of the Hale and Wild

• Removed during Beta 2012, yet has a new type trait icon, CoTW grants regen (ala Windborne Notes)
• Minor Trait
• Vigor when using CoTW?

Canine Affinity

• Removed during Beta 2012, yet has a new type trait icon, originally made condi duration on dogs longer.
• Minor Trait
• Additional benefits when using Canines?

Drake Affinity

• Removed during Beta 2012, yet has a new type trait icon, originally made drakes regen health.
• Minor Trait
• Additional benefits when using Drakes?

Improved Trap Deployment

• Removed during Beta 2012, yet has a new type trait icon, unknown what it did previously. Was not ground targeting as that trait was also removed in the same patch and was called Trap Mobility.
• Trait type unknown, has a different icon shape than others.
• Haha, ground targeting for traps again? That would make me laugh.

Speed Training

• This one was only just removed from Ranger, it used to be “pet’s skills recharge 10% faster” but was only the non-F2 skills. It is back with a different trait icon shape, so type is unknown.
• Movement Speed increase, recharge times?

Perhaps none of these are Druid traits, but they are in the game and on the wiki, you decide!

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Seems like icons created for traits that were conceived during the core specialization process but didn’t make the cut or were eventually changed/scraped.

All of those images were uploaded to the wiki in September 2010, two years before release.

I suspect that all it means is that the original trait system GUI was going to use icons, but was then scrapped, until it was reintroduced for the new GUI.

If you look carefully, all of the hexagonal icons you’ve pointed to have a different, lower quality border than the new hexagonal icons, and there are no star shaped icons in the new system, just squares and hexagons.

Ah, I didn’t look at the upload date… kitten.. lol
