Astersl force = useless mechanice?
As much as I love the Druid, I think druid traits are nice but they are kind of useless unless you gear for it, and even then only in raids or fractals. Compare this to every single class in the game.
For an extreme case, look at reapr/necro. Shroud not only gives the necro new skills, but it gives the player another hp bar as well. In my opinion Astral Force should do the same. In the case of the Tempest, every overload gives a different effect and can also save the Tempest and can do a good amount of dmg.
Druid Astral Force is just for healing, and kind of affective if you set your traits for it, but most of other mechanics do this as well for their class.
My suggestion is to give Astral Form some amount of attack or condi stun break. Some thing besides healing, that every druid can enjoy. Your opinion?

sorry for bad english
Celestial Avatar has more use than simply spamming heal.
Setting aside the healing, you have an AOE daze, a blast finisher, and an AOE cripple/imob, Condition cure, and a water field. Setting your traits offensively, you also get a ranged imob, Stealth, and possibly the best condition clear in the game. It also reverses the effect of any glyphs you have equipped.
Now what could one possibly do with all those toys?
They could add some minor dmg or burning for tagging purposes but beyond that nty.
No reason to water down an elite specialization when the next one will likely open up a new route, most likely a more offensive one.
And rethink the thread title. I’m not really sure if you don’t like Astral Force or you don’t like healing with CAF.

It is an interesting point. So good it warrants me thinking of a way to build a troll build for WvW. CC and throw a few heals here and there, and let others kill Has to be runes and sigils that would support such a build along with the Druid trait line. Maybe have the pet do some DPS also…
But to the OP, I do find Druid and AF to be a bit wonky. I’m not sure if it is switching forms or how fast or steady one generates it. I find in WvW things are going on so fast, especially with CC running amuck and red circles of death, it doesn’t work for me.

your damage comes from your pet for the duration of CF, we dont get damage on the abilities because of this most proberly, where the Necros mechanic revolves around its own DPS, and tbh i’d like to avoid anything else getting 2 life bars, its unique and great the necromancer gets it.. but handing it out to anything and everything that gets forms from their elites or the new elites to come is a bad concept in reality.
what i would actually like to see is.
One of the GM Traits changed to turn CF into a DPS Form. this allowing the build to become more flexible in DPS Roles in PvE PvP and WvW. i think they could give us one of the GM traits on Base then transfer this idea into its slot, i feel it’d give more flexibility to builds in all honesty.
it could also swap the building process, so damage gives u more towards CF form then healing.
Also the fact u cant physically use the form til capped is rather annoying, i’d like that function to work abit closer to the necromancers, however i can kinda tell why you cant.. the Heal Spamming and how easy it’d become would kinda ruin the druid and require nerfing.
but a Trait to turn CF into a DPS Form would be really nice and Add more to the proffession from a DPS Aspect, this would also prolly help towards the problem that rangers are complaining about in Raiding.
