Q:
Axe or Warhorn
I say change to any other class to be more useful. And i play a ranger myself so this post is not about hate.
Both. They both have their own situations, switch between them.
I’m gonna say axe for reflect and vulnerability stacking.
Depends on what you’re up against. Warhorn’s great for stacking might on your pet during SotP, and the blast finisher can be handy if you’re running Healing Spring, or your party has eles in it. If however your group is short on reflects or needs to separate enemies, Axe certainly has its place too.
Also, what are you running in your other weapon slot? As Justine said, Axe is good for vuln stacking, but if you’re running Quick Draw+Longbow, 2 opening strikes and 2 rapid fires should provide a fair deal of vulnerability.

What I usually do in less organized groups is before a boss fight we group for a second and then: equip torch → #5 → equip WH → #5 → equip axe → swap to LB start the fight while you are still over the bonfire with the pet stowed to proc the call of the wild on pet “swap”.
That alone is 8 stacks of might to the whole party from you and you’ll have the axe for vulnerability + reflect + burst with PoS
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
