yes, thought about it, and beside being insanely expensive to make, it will not be balanced enough.
you will be a bit short on power and precision to actually hurt the enemy badly. I will be making myself a set of Zealots trinket to try this and i will even put it up in my next stream just to show how it CAN be used
this could be used, my grief with this is;
Regen rangers should have 900+ healing power, this is to make sure the regeneration ticks for over 300 hp/second. If you run regen BM (xxx66) then you SHOULD also use SIgnet of the Wild to boost that passive regen by another 150-160 hp/second.
This setup, unless fully ascended, will not reach those stats. Infact, it also lacks in power the power output is 1453, 1803 with all stacks, in comparison, my Ascended Clerics setup is almost 2300 when all stacks are applied. And my clerics setup still wont hit beyond 749 when it crits with SB (which is the best option for this build). This build will crit more, but not much harder (maybe 110 damage harder tops) despite this you also have 400 armor less.
Simply put, if not ascended, the stats will not be in your favor.

1900 power, 1k+ healing. Yourself and pet have perma regen, fury and swiftness. Plenty of might to go around between you and your pet. Pets sitting at 90 and 60% crit chance. 2k aoe heal every 20s or 3k when used with hound.
If you used pirate runes and like hydromancy sigils, axe, etc in order to lock down your target, it might work decently well.

See the problem with these is that they nerfed the pets so much that this class can’t really kill anyone. I think focusing on condi damage is better since you should be putting points into the WS trait line if you are building tanky. Try something like this

Give you a good balance on condi/burst from your pets. The tropical bird combined with the owl puts out a ton of pressure, the hounds are just for fun, and with virtually perma regen you are very difficult to kill.

The pirate rune is nice but the lack of fury uptime and 125 precision from the rune means you won’t crit often as you need. Plus with all the moaning its bound to get needed soon so don’t want to rely on it.

The entire premise of the build was a retake on the clerics beast master build which was a power build. I was building around that fact. The build you posted isn’t anything beastmastery. Its a standard condi build and I would like to stay within the boundires of the original premise. Think better apple not try sell me an orange :-)
Anyone else have any better changes staying within the power, beastmastery concept. It would be good to see something like this work. For the time being pirate rune could be a thing but its about to get killed by all the QQ.
I fins the concept of beast mastery intriguing so I want to work with it.

Change Invigorating bond to Zephyr’s speed if going for X/X/X/6/6, it should give a little boost to dps when you get a hang of it.

If you really don’t like the condition dmg here is something more power oriented
Since you have to focus on 4 attributes (Power, Precision, Ferocity, and Healing Power) instead of just Condi damage and Healing power while dumping the rest into tankyness you are better off going with Celestial Stats. The pirate runes are simply too good to pass up on a beastmaster since the tropical bird is better than our pets in many ways IMO.
Also I have heard that the tropical bird gets the bonus from points in beastmastery, can someone confirm or debunk this?
Oh and obviously this works way better with ascended gear.
One of the issue with power build is that your normally lacking toughness. Condi bunker is easy since they are in the same line. For me you not really a bunker with out 2.7k toughness (I shoot for 3k). While I know it lacks a lot of condition clear healing spring should be enough as you can heal with you pets f2. While axe main isn’t great for single targets with multiple you and your pet should get more might. Consumable are empty so you can strength the area you feel its lacking the most.
This is more of a starting point rather than a finshed build somethings are to high some not high enough.
