Just like it says in the title whenever I use an axe skill 1-4 works just fine but the Back slot on your character disapears during the animation. The peice is still there it is just invisible on your character during the animation.

Also my offhand axe ability, “Whirling Defense” has stopped workinf entirely.
It is not a problem with me because my number 5 ability on other weapons are working just fine.

Anybody else notice this?

Whirling Defense was working just fine for me earlier today. Sometimes when something goes wrong (occasionally I won’t be able to swap weapons) exiting to the desktop fixes things.

Is the animation issue just with the book from the event? When you remove the book are you able to use Whirling Defense again?

posted the disappearing back slot when using axe as graphic bug. this should be fixed imho.

shhhh. Don’t you remember what happened the last time ANet tried to fix a visual bug?? If they “fix” this I’ll expect nothing short of back items stop giving stats to your character…

One animation causing a disappearence isn’t so bad. Having a shield equipped and sheathed causes back items to disappear as well, and thats a constant thing while walking around (unless you walk around with your weapon drawn all the time).

I cannot answer if it makes any other type of back slot disappear, I don’t have a guild backpack, so if you have one and notice it also disappearing then please post it.

i do have a guild back pack and it really disappears.

Yeah.. not only does the back slot disappear, but your off hand weapon.. Torch 4 has a similar issues, it’s really annoying

I feel like it might NOT be a bug, because it doesn’t appear buggy in nature. However, I don’t agree with it. Thing’s shouldn’t just magically disappear for a couple seconds.
