Balanced Power Range Build?
Looks pretty good and I really like your stats. I personally am not a believer in stacked crit chance and prefer crit damage. I also would strongly suggest air+flame for bow as the double proc on that is insane for any power build regardless of class.

That’s a great build! And I agree. It’s fairly easy to gain crit chance through fury/food/banners. I’m going to try aim for 200% crit damage. Going to try and mix and match more stats! Thanks for the advice

200% crit chance.
Sounds like major overkill to me.

LOL. I meant crit damage. Edited that. xD
This one’s probably better still. Using your build.
Traveler runes are a must for Power Ranger imo.

Well in my case I’m using Sword/Warhorn so I have the swiftness plus the sword 2 movement skill to help me with my movement.
Rune of the Ranger really helps with DPS considering it gives you 175 precision, 100 ferocity and a flat out 7% increase in damage.
Why do you say it’s a must?
You can always trade one of your stunbreaks for Signet of the Hunt instead of losing DPS.

a Longbow Power Ranger can get 99% of its survivability from the fact that it can safely stand at 1500+range (Eagle Eye + Read the Wind). If you play properly, you won’t get hit 99% of the time. Therefore I think it’s a waste to spend points on armor/ condition removal/stunbreakers, because you could be getting more damage instead.
The only survivability you need (on top of 1500+ range) are skills/traits to run away with. This is my build:

I can’t get any more damage out of it. I have less than 2100 armor. Yet I easily manage to stay at 25 stacks of bloodlust most of the time. I’ve forced myself to learn to run away if an enemy gets close to me. The only condition removal I have is the Brown Bear F2.
I use Protect Me(invulnerability + stun breaker), GS Swoop and GS Block to run away with (also Stability from Rampage as One). That’s enough to save myself most of the time. The other times I die, but it happens such a small amount of time that I’m not willing to trade damage for more survivability.
I do much better in small groups, but if I find myself solo roaming or dying more than usual, I change Strength of Spirit for Nature’s Protection. Which basically gives me 3000 armor for 5 seconds if I get hit.
I hate running speed signets as they’re a dead slot. I much prefer to lower my stats a bit instead of having 2 utilities.
Swiftness can be stripped, too. Sure, doesn’t happen too often but when it does, it hurts..
Traveler runes increase both condition and boon duration, on top of that.
It’s a matter of preference, but Power ranger outside of point holder without traveler’s is a little bit unplayable for me.

Using Signet of the Hunt allows me to get high damage runes like Scholar or Ranger. So technically Signet of the Hunt increases my damage significantly and is therefore not a dead slot. The signet also increases pet movement speed, if you need it (I don’t).

While I agree with your statement that being at max range really helps with survivability, I posted this thread with a balanced build in mind. A good D/P thief could easily get in combat and take you out or chase you. I feel as if other classes are able to play the glass cannon better than ranger so that’s why I opted for a balanced build.
But don’t get me wrong, I love playing some glass cannon builds – insta killing people at +1500 range, but I don’t think it’ll be ideal against players who know what’s going on.
SoH active is also a one-trick pony. Bonus damage on one of the attacks? Very, very situational. And if you activate this, you lose the passive.
OP is asking for balanced builds that should be able to sustain in fight for a while and don’t depend that much on CDs. I hate playstyle directed by using all my CDs to one-shot someone. That’s why everything I play and craft has to do good on every condition, be able to 1vX, at least for some time and base on short, effective cooldowns and attacks.

Couldn’t of said it better.
