Barkskin + "Protect Me!"
Ooh, I like it. I’m going to be making extensive use of RT.
I rarely use Protect Me when with full health.
I usually take the 1st hit because mitigation abilities are my last resort. I always bet on control or mobility.
Glass LBs would have a good excuse to use it though.
You’re on point, do a bunch of damage as the guy approaches, then go toe to toe with PM + RT up.
None of this applies to me since I don’t play LB much anymore and I never play it in PvP, but hey, I like RT so I can be excited about it.

Same here mate, but now there is a good reason to try and mitigate their initial burst, they waste CDs and your pet only takes half the damage. After that, you still have everything else left, plus your regen and swiftness and PM is only 48s CD.
Just figure it is nice synergy and useful at times.

No I mean … Protect me and stuff is most likely the Shout build. By casting Protect Me you will get regen (I assume we’ll want healing power with that one) and that’s a waste if you cast it at full health.
But if you have quick reflexes you might get the full potential of pressing it at 90% and healing back to 100.

Yeah, that is the way to do it, let them hit you 1st (Bark skin takes 33% away) then hit PM.
I like the option but you’ll still be open to Condis just like SoS , though its shout based and is defo a way to do if your running beastmaster.
with this combo i’d say put Regen on from the get go from a different skill, to keep hp above 90% you’ll get better Hps because of barkskin and protect me is a soild say to recover from say 50% hp with HaO > protect me > and go on the offensive to put them on the defence = more hps gained if they back away , though if they attack your still rooted like a rock untill protect me is over.
or just even 75%>protect me> Allies Aid on a downed player and you;ve fast res + negated a large chunk of damage on the downed from body blocking with pet + charater , because its going to be hard to pressure down a , downed ranger Res’ed by a Ranger with these two abilities .
and there is your Res play. throw trooper runes into that you’ll also cure People while recovering yourself and res’ing at the same time, the opposing team will ether have to commit or ignore you.
The pet also takes the condi damage when under the effect of PM, that’s why I use it over SoS.
If you use Allies Aid, it casts S&R, which will overwrite PM.

I’ll pop Protect Me! Very early in a fight if they CC me and I know a ton of bad kitten will hit me since it’s not only a Invuln but a CC break.

it will probably be the best solution for zerging in melee range, in addition to using bears.
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with Bark Skin. Hell even if it were only -33% damage, then it’d still be very strong. Especially if you’re also rocking the -5% damage from Oakheart Salve.
Traited for a 48 second cool down that breaks stun, gives swiftness and gives regen, I see Protect Me being a very viable alternative to Signet of Stone. Especially if you’re running Trooper runes.
