Based on the ability to spam critical strikes and give permanant fury to both you and your pet. This build is designed to be both durable and dps effective. The pet while largely underestimated and misunderstood can be a powerfull weapon when used right and this build is all about maximising both your and his effectiveness

Point is to spam multi strike moves (aka barrage and hunter calls) in order to do as many hit as possible in the smallest time window in order to keep pet heavy on might while swapping weapon. Since all effect you gain are also shared to your pet your pet always will benefit from the regeneration you gain from healing spring as well as the fury might and swiftness stacks gained from weapon swap.

This build is aimed for pve ranger purpose

Hmm, you have no weapons selected but i guess this will work for PvE if you stay out of direct combat because you certainly do not have enough DPS and CC to mow down champs.

Your jag will do a good amount of damage 2.5-3.5k crits i’m assuming and you will do roughly 1.5k crits? But on the flip side, you can easily get one shotted by champs because you have next to no toughness and a very low HP pool.

Again, this can work for PvE but i’m not sure how effective it would be in fractals or dungeons considering you have only one source of condition cleansing and 2 group utility skills in Horn#5 and HS only. Since you can’t really get into direct combat and have to back line DPS from 1200 range, your team mates might not receive any of your benefits.

I dont have actual problem when it comes to taking hits because i take next to none… i spam hunter shot as often as possible to reduce my visibility time and redirect foe to other target, Altrought you may assume that because i have a longbow i spend a lot of time at range im actualy moving across the field from longrange to shortrange depending on my weapon. Condition damage indeed is the build weakness but since PVE monster hardly ever do any you wont actualy be the victim of some crazy 25 bleed stacking poison burn effect like youd be in pvp. Having a good self healing effect it only comes down to behing able to avoid serious nuking damage. Of course you could always revisit the build by reducing your crit rate and personnal damage to the profit of some toughtness or vitality if you feel you die to quickly. As a general rule however it is quite easy to stay alive due to the permanant regeneration buff and the healing combo zone from horn explosion/healing spring.

Of course you can always swap hunter signet for a defrent skill depending on the situation. I however favor my extreme movement speed when it comes to evading altrought since i use it as a damage dealer i more then often do not benefit from its effect. Any of the spirits can replace this spell and if necesary it is perfectly possible to swap rampage as one for the spirit elite wich will heal everyone like crazy. Mainly because weither or not you have rampage as one your pet will always have a very high number of might stack as well as permanant fury

The main benefit from rampage as one behing the free might stack as well as the fury effect you only realy gain from stability and your own 25 might stack wich can push the pet damage very high. Since not every fight is about burning down a boss to the ground you may revise your elite at any time. Ive found the healing spirit to be quite useful when fighting party wide damage boss.

I mainly play WvW/sPvP and do the occasional dungeon with guildies. Most dungeons will have some kind of NPC that spams conditions which is why i asked about condition removal.

If i’m not mistaken, the living story tower has a boss that spams red circles or AoE, even a BM pet will eat those fairly quick and i’m sure a jag does not have vitality to stay in those too long. While a bear can stay in the AoE for a fair amount, I’m not sure if they they can stay in the AoE for more than 10 seconds.

altrought condition do can deal a lot of damage the pet has by himself quite a lot of self regeneration. Of course if they are poisoned its another story but even then you can use your healing spring to heal them back by a fair amount… long as the pet can survive 15 second or above this wont be a problem. The other alternative is to simply switch the Jag for a tempory tanking pet such a wolf for the battle duration (adapting yourself is part of behing a player a build cant be effective everywhere… aint like ill use my 2h sword on my warrior when fighting lupicus will I? it goes the same way for petmaster go with the flow!) Most battle wont require you to remove your Jag however and having the wolf or the drake instead for a battle duration wont be this terrible. Ill do the tower of nightmare and check out about this condition boss you speaking off but so far i never had tanking problem on my pets save for Alpha wich litteraly is pet unfriendly and cover the map with red circle of doom… pet will survive 2 wave before dying in this case but again you can still do your personnal damage and it is just ONE fight amonst many
