Beastly Warden vs Renewed Focus

I assumed it was intentional until you brought it up. There have always been small oddities like this in the game, although I’m drawing a blank to think of another one off the top of my head. Lots of complex interactions between skills.
One can hope it’s intentional. It’s an interesting wrinkle in this condition that sets it even further apart from fear.
I dont see it as any different htan a mesmer or necro being able to interupt through those abilities. And it gives us some limited counter play to those abilities that we simply didn’t have before.
Whether its to strong or not I simply don’t know. Part of me will understand if its nerfed. But a bit part of me will also be disappointed.
Id say if ranger is still left out of the competitive scene (with BW being there) then theres nothing to quarrel about

It is both condi and control, like fear. Fear is evadble/blockble.
It is closer to daze than fear in my experience. And there are daze skills which go through block and evade.
I think it SHOULD go through blocks. if you think about it, u can’t “block” a taunt. it’s e mental thing =P

There are lots of abilities that say “Unblockable”.
I can imagine taunt being classified as such on default.
About evades… I believe an evade works on everything. Maybe should on taunt too.
In this “evade or die” meta – this taunt on birds is simply too powerful in my opinion.
I sure hope it’s intentional, and that they keep it this way. The drawbacks are already in the skill – taunt forces enemies to attack the pet/person that taunted them. As such, it’s weaker than fear.

So, the Taunt from the Beastly Warden is being applied through blocks and some evades.
How it works:
When used against skills that are channels, i.e. reguire the player to maintain casting them to receive the full bonus, the taunt interrupts these actions. So, skills like Guardian’s Shelter, Shield Stance are interruptible, so is Blurred Frenzy and Renewed Focus (!). Skills like Elixir S, Distortion or Mist Form are not be affected (although some more testing should be done).Do you think it’s intentional?

Thanks for checking it. As I said, more testing is needed.
So far it looks like skills that prevent you from using other skills are ‘tauntable’, regardless of blocks or evades.
I will need to check Distortion and Obsidian Flesh once again to be sure.
