Beastmaster wvw Roaming/ duelling build

you could just put 30 into beast mastery and be good to go pretty much.
oh really?^^ i would never have guessed that… but as you may have noticed a build consists out of more than just traits…

oh yes. absolutely. but I’m just saying that obviously beast mastery makes your pet all that much better. You could also run 30 WS with Empathic Bond+bear(shake it off is great)+signet of renewal. that’s already 4 conditions cleared every 10 seconds. and 2 conditions cleared every 25 secs. AND you could use something as crazy as soldier runes + “Guard” and shout master trait to get almost 5 conditions cleared every 10 seconds
something like this?

Going thirty deep into NM to get Nature’s Voice is really cutting you off from a lot of other important traits for a BM build; Traits like Pet’s Prowess for felines and birds or Malicious Training for wolves and spiders.
I don’t know who’s running around naked letting their pet kill enemies, anyone with half a brain isn’t going to die to a Ranger pet by itself. Your pet is still penultimate to you, so simply surviving while Fluffy does all the work isn’t a great game plan. You have to keep damage and pressure up as well and the build you linked doesn’t really do that. If your pet gets burned down, you’re a sitting duck.
That’s why you see so many BM builds centered around condition damage — It’s easy to stack enough condition damage to be a bother while maintaining a level of toughness/vitality/healing power to stay alive. Since condition damage is a really passive form of gameplay, it makes it easy to be slippery while damage is being done. You also benefit entirely from going down the WS tree to get Empathic Bond since you’re loading up on condition damage and toughness anyway. If you really don’t want Empathic Bond (it’s our most important trait, which is a real bummer because it slaughters build diversity,) you can make some really interesting builds that make Fluffy sting a lot.
okay sevans you got any suggestions for a valid BM build?

You could look up any of Xsorus’ BM Bunker builds, because they are the most effective and efficient BM builds around.
If you just want a really, really strong pet without worrying about your survivability against… well, anything, try a might stacking build with 15 in NM for Fortifying Bond.
Something like this is silly, but a lot of fun — http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fMAQNBMhF6koiqg7rQxCWLEEtCUip4QJ6pI9q3pw/e6ifSbC-jECBYgCikIBiIAMBqIasVOFRjVbDT7aR1qYAyAwsAA-w
Your pets are murderous with a spec like that. It is tailored for the upcoming patch, as well.

If you run 30BM and use brown bear, youre doing it wrong. its not really appropriate to use tank specific pets as BM because speccing that way makes pets count as a large portion of your damage. the regen from BM + the stat improvement from traiting means dps pets become as tanky as a bear would otherwise be.

Need to make sure you say that it’s a minor trait in the line, not one you choose but a pet foot splat in-between traits we choose…

I can’t find “Fortifying Bond” anywhere in ANY trait line. None.
15 points in nature magic.
Also, I second the suggestion for using xsorus’s builds, I’m using his old BM bunker build and do brilliantly in WvW.

I melted under the build in less time than my old build.
The search for a decent WvW build solo or zerg continues.
I have been trying out a lot of builds recently to try and find out which ones were the bests. I was told by some friends that there were some BM rangers that could run around naked and just let their pet kill their foe. Any ideas on a good beastmaster build?
Mesmers running around naked and letting their phants do all the work is a lot better and more interactive than ranger. If you’re looking for AI based fighting that is.

The build I posted isn’t designed to be good, honestly. It’s a Beastmaster spec that focuses heavily on pet damage. It’s pretty awful.
If you melted with Xsorus’ build, then I think you have a problem.
