Are rangers one of the classes that benefit from using assassin’s helmet, chest and legs for their ascended gear? (For fractals and dungeons)

It depends A LOT of the build, and that is for any class.
Rangers have precision and crit damage in the same trait line, and have spotter that add another 7% crit chance, so maybe ranger is the class that benefit the least mixing assassin’s.
What may influence is that ranger is affected a bit less by power than other classes, so rise the crit% may be better, but again it depends on the build.

It’s more of a stats thing and not really a class thing. Power is always more valuable than crit chance/dmg so the trick is to wear as much berserker as you can and only enough assassin’s to move you to the next 1% crit chance.

In exotic gear you’re better off with a helm because it gives you that extra 1% crit chance. I haven’t run the numbers with ascended gear because I have logged in maybe 5 hours since patch. But you’ll want as much berserker as possible minus how many ever pieces it costs you to get +1% crit chance.

With full zerker, spotter and fury you got enaugh crit Chance.. with acended armor its a bit higher so you got no need for assasin

Right… but if you’re 1 precision away from gaining 1% crit chance, losing 13 power is worth 1% crit.

I don’t think it would be worth, if you go in WvW for example, there is a big chance that you’ll get some buff in your precision, making you get that next 1% while your original extra precision is now useless, but more power is always more power.

but in wvw i would never go full zerker..for what ?
pve you got a disi banner from war 99% so you dont rly need this
and bufffood brings you extra prezi.

but some maths with this build not full acended so easy to get.

without prezi bufffood, but with spotter, banner and furry you get 93% crit chance
so you dont need to stack prezi or take anybufffood

you even get 94%

you never need more than 90%
so every assasin piece is a waste of stats.

With my build 30/25/0/15/0 and calculating: spotter, discipline banner, fury; In exotic gear it’s worth taking helm/chest/leggings assassins, but in ascended pure berserker is better. The difference is really minimal, tho.
