Best Underwater Weapon sigils?
Ooh, I am jealous. Still working on my ascended sinister set. I was planning on using Earth and Lightning. Earth will add many more bleeds when you use skill 2 on harpoon gun. Watch your foes melt.
Um, you can also to sigil of force and dungeon specific sigil if you are into the whole dungeon speed running thingy. Can’t really go wrong with that, but then you should probably use Assassin or Zerker stats. Sinister will do great with lightning and earth.

I use a strength sigil on my harpoon, even in zerker gear the additional condition damage makes a big difference to the bleeds. Bursting + Strength (assuming you have good crit chance) would be the best imo.
For spear, I have Bloodlust and Strength again (need one bloodlust on water set for WvW).
I didn’t use air/fire on them because there was a patch early in the game that made them not work for UW, I’m not sure if that has been changed again, but I have never run them on UW weapons again since then.
Depends on your other stats of course I have a rampager celestial set with a 6 2 6 build I just went with air and fire on the harpoon gun, aoe chill and vigor on the spear helps escape and gives and extra dodge on your way out cause you should only be using your spear to escape otherwise you are doing it wrong.
For WvW:
Harpoon Gun (Sinister) — Air & Blight — Air makes up for the lack of physical damage on the auto attack, Blight adds another condition to the mix and is particularly potent underwater ’cause downed state. It helps finish off surfaced enemies a little faster.
Spear (Knight’s) — Leeching & Doom — Both of these are persisting buffs and spear isn’t very useful for fighting so I use them to boost my other weapons. If I’m near water I’ll pop in and out for free life steal and poison. You can also take some fall damage then jump in some water between combat and gain these buffs so that your next attack on land does about 1,000 more damage and applies poison!

I have a copy of each of the stacking sigils I use on my land weapons because anet is greedy and underwater combat is broken.

People equip their underwater weapons with sigils? I find underwater combat so dreadfully boring, I usually don’t even bother sticking sigils into the weapons…
