Guild Wars 2

My girlfriend decided to role a Ranger and wanted me to create a new Character (Even though mine would scale down). I’m not sure what would work best with Ranger, we’d be running everything together.

I don’t mind Scholars but when I’m running one I tend to miss soldier/adventurer and vice versa.

I’m just asking people more experienced than me from their experiences, as I’m still pretty much a newb to this game with only two level 14’s.

imo mesmers go really well with rangers, added quickness and clones/phantasms… you two would reck everything together.

This is just my opinion though and i only play as ranger so…

Guardian or warrior is good, you can tank for her while she dps safely.

But, just play what class you want, really…. the most important thing is to have fun in a game.

I’m an 80 ranger, my girlfriend is a 62 Mesmer. We’re still having a great time.

In PvE leveling, the ranger goes well with any class, as you can get a tank pet to tank or a dps pet to dps.

Allowing the other person to do what their class does best.

I’m liking the sound of Warrior and Mesmer.

Warrior because of what was mentioned, I could tank (with her pet) allowing her to DPS safely, they also have pretty good range options.

Mesmer because I do like the idea of phantasm but then I’ve heard they aren’t that great for PvE and maybe not as versatile as Warrior.

If she is bad at jumping puzzles, or you are good, she will love you to death for going mesmer thanks to teleports.

Hmm.. now I’m really unsure, think I’ll give both a go and see which I like best.

Sorry for the double post but finally made my decision, the girlfriend reckons I should go Engineer so that’s what I’ll do. Thanks for the info though, much appreciated.

I made a ranger, boyfriend plays an engineer… and we DESTROY. Hope you guys have fun with that combo.
