I love this combo for making short work of mobs in an ambush, but is it actually doing anything, or does it just feel like it is? Does burning stack?

Burning stacks as duration, not as intensity.
If when the mob dies the burning is still ticking, it means it’s going to “waste”. As with all DoTs.

Bell is correct.

Once you reach 100% uptime on burning, any extra sources or extra duration are wasted.

But it is a good combo regardless, you can add a good chunk of burning time onto something this way. (Think PvP/Veteran+ Mobs)

The only thing I would question, is are you really using SB+ QZ still? O_o
The shortbow auto attack only gets like half the effect from QZ as every other weapon/proff in the game… it is probably just a bug… but still.

Not always shortbow – sometimes I use Rapid Fire (on the longbow) or Ricochet (with the axe) with QZ for this combo.

Hey ! Lets not bust the guys bubble he found something positive he likes about his ranger. Its a great attack I use it all the time too. Makes you feel powerful so what if it all in your head .Us rangers need every little bit of hope to hold on to though these days of depression and disappear .
