Breaking all The Rules with My New WvW Build
Looks sound, but I would be worried about the rather shallow health pool when fighting other condition tanks when you have no perma-regen. Our condition builds usually win be attrition more than dps but the confusion and torment might make up for that.

I put the wrong heal up
I always use TU but for this one I used Healing Spring for the extra condition removal…although I agree 66 heal a second is a tad weak.
You’re not breaking any rules here…
You’r build is just safer to use, but less effective against most of people.
Overconditioning blobs are not solo roam, but you support it well, meanwhile you may able to kill foes 1v1 if you move well.

Always appreciate any comments but not really sure what you mean there. If I run with the blob I usually use a different build/class. Ranger is usually outside any blob or tying to find people attempting to get to blob.
I noticed you are using spiders!
They are great for close quarters ranged combat because you can keep them between you and the enemy. Control skills will land on the spider instead of you.
If he walks through the spider to your side, you do the same.

I have never heard of that. Is that because they are a ranged pet? …and only applies to control skills and not damage?
It applies to any pet/clone/summon (or even other players), but since spiders are ranged they dont tend to move much in a fight, so its actually possible to do.
It doesnt only apply to control skills, any skill can be body blocked unless it pierces/cleaves/is AoE, but most CC skills are not like this so.. I guess thats what solrik is getting at, maybe :P
I dont find it worth doing personally, but each to their own if it works for you :P

Yes, exactly. They are ranged and are less likely to move around like melee pets do.
It’s really fun when you see a War/Guard knock your pet around instead of you. Gives a little bit of ‘Evil laugh’ feeling.
With a little bit of practice, it has more or less the same effect as “Protect Me!” depending on who you’re fighting. It is really worth doing even if it’s one more thing to keep track of but it pays off by giving you better survivability!
Doesn’t help much against basic-attacks though that cleave and splash…. but on the other hand, why would anyone evade basic-attacks?
i recently started using thief, conditions with perplexity runes and said hey this can work probably better on ranger with shortbow interrupt and GS. I made some kind of build, will post later lol, probably not the best but
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fMMQJAVRjAV11BWWWo2BgVBBbP00SMZPMkxFP5Xp6F-j0BBYfBisAIHqIasl1FRjVXDT5aIqaXwA-w what you guys think, will a build like this work? Is like half zerker, half condition. I made to get the most use out of my ascended rings and items so i just have to change armor lol. With the interrupts in both weapons i guess confusion can be a thing, not sure.
I tried this almost the same as your build I always found using shortbow with sigil of earth to be way more effective because you don’t have much to sustain you in a prolonged fight so simply bursting and overloading them with bleeds worked way way better for me even people with good cleanse can be bursted like this and it’s absolutely brutal in the water where most opponents will bleed out in a few seconds, another little fun fact about that, if you do happen to get downed in the water your interupt skill will make the perplexity runes proc the confusion I’ve killed many people like this too xD
I did use many small variations of it I usually had more points in MM for the extra condi duration to stack the massive bleeds easier and the extra traits (spotter, pet condi duration) and also had rabid/dire trinkets for some extra health, it is great fun but you do quickly run in to trouble when outnumbered unless you can find a target to kill right away wich is very possible if you catch them off guard.

Some good stuff. Has made me think twice about the Torment proc on crit for my weapon compared to sigil of earth. Earth procs twice as often but the Torment is an extra cover for the bleed.

Interesting 3rd build you posted without techno. power/crit chance/crit damage and condition. I have no idea how or where to get celestial armor…the regular stuff if available. I know I can buy ascended trinkets but having a tough time pulling the trigger since I change builds so often
I ended up not running Perplexity Runes on the build, and instead ran Traveler’s, Problem is the damage dropped..
But I was forced into using Traveler’s because lack of a Stun Break.

Yep they make a nice barricade you can shoot through and only piercing enemies can shoot back.
It’s why I like to have a spider with longbow out. f1 position behind spider between target and lay into them. Big melee pets and knocking a ranged charachter against a wall creates the same effect as well. Before I left the game I used devourers but their damage now….

i change build often too, with rangers i just dont feel confortable with one like other classes. That is i dont want to change trinkets and such and make them useful for another build. Ill just getting the set from hotw with condition damage, in fact i had that set a month ago and destroyed it, now i want it back lol. Yea i am like that :|
“Keen Edge” trait activates even if you don’t have Sharpening Stone on your action bar. So, you should replace that with something else.

I’m not completely understanding your point. Sharpening Stone lets me start the fight with 5 bleeds. I am pretty sure Keen edge then kicks in when the health threshold is reached.

It does, you will effectively have 2 sharpening stones with separete cooldowns.
Just remember they dont stack, so dont use your utility one if the trait is already proc’ed or is about to

meeh i dont want to get another shortbow, love the skin of mine and all. So i was thinking if a build like this would work with axe/dagger or torch whatever, i suppose axe is alright condition weapon plus is the only one with aoe so for zergs i suppose it will be good.
