Buff spirits please :D
Spirit build was a great build – and not used often, I think buffing the spirits to move ONCE AGAIN would be a great way to reintroduce some build diversity among rangers.
Keep it up boy, this is probably the 100th time this was suggested again.
I agree with you that it would improve spirit gameplay, but keep your hopes low.

still they don’t listen, we will need to light the torches. However the last patches notes were really humorous, weren’t they?
Spirits already have 1,000 range and can be traited to give boons for that entire radius. That includes traited Stone Spirit’s near-perma protection, which not many classes besides Guardian can do. Traited Sun Spirit pulsing vigor for 1000 range is also pretty ridiculous, on top of its already powerful damage buff.
Sorry, I’m going to have to disagree. They are already meta for dungeons and raids. If they could move they would be OP.
Besides, the whole point of Spirits in Guild Wars as a franchise is that Spirits DO NOT MOVE. You’re supposed to be able to destroy them to remove their buffs. They need a nerf/fix in that respect since their effects remain even after death.

I agree with Kain. Most spirit are in a good spot.
The outlier for me is Storm Spirit. Vuln is plentiful and the traited swiftness isn’t too useful for fights that stay in spirit range.
The stun is nice but you have to lure your target to the spirit and sacrifice it. Not tactfully sound.
Now I don’t know how you might fix it… Maybe traited pulse 1 sec quickness instead?
EDIT: Oh and Water Spirit is just…it’s just bad.

Water Spirit is good. Perma regen for 1000 range, plus the heal when allies attack. The active effect is nice too.
That said, it could use a buff.

Yeah I’m sorry to say that I too like static spirits, but I do often find myself wishing for changes to them. Particularly their actives. Also yeah, at the very least water spirit should interact with healing power more.
Sun spirit, frost spirit are good.
Storm spirit could use a buff and stone spirit needs another boon in the trait.
The activation of the spirits need a ground target.
It would be interesting if the spirits could work like minions but when entering combat they become immobile and start buffing like they do now.
No limit on time. The actives teleports them on the target area and activates the effect.
This could give spirits some.mobility in combat to save them from dying while gives them mobility outside combat for convenients.

That’s a laugh. They weren’t OP before, and they wouldn’t be OP if they could move now, even with the current Nature’s Vengeance since they took off the active on-death.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Op what? Amost all pve situations it’s a static target, so allowing spirits to move wouldn’t change a kitten thing, they rarely get killed in pve anyways due to the npc/pet aoe rework last year.
If spirits could move well they might actually see use again in pvp, and hell zergs/guild groups might love us again.
The rooted spirits and non throwable traps killed any chance those builds have at pvp/wvw especially since they contain no stun breaks, and kittenty heals. Lol I’m getting mad all over gain thinking about how fun those builds were to play back in the day. Now they see zero use for spirits and you might take one trap for wvw or pvp even then it’s like do I really want this.
