Build all in one for WvW & PVE
I think torch on a power build is pretty pointless, especially when you are using condi duration food for 1 low ticking condition. Also having only 1 condi clear that is also your only stun break on a 60 sec cooldown is a death sentence in WvW.

Yes i agree but would would you do it?

I don’t understand your question.

Yes, sorry.
I meant i have already shared anguish + evasive purity in addition to SoR.
To have another stun breaker i should loose mobility or protection and i wouldn’t like that.
And the other stun breakers are kind of broken. We get that a lot with the ranger skills and traits.
Lightning reflexes works always the direction your character is facing, not the direction of the camera. That’s a problem when you can not turn because you are immobilized or stunned.
Protect me depends on the pet. And in WvW is always a very bad idea depend on the pet at all. Usually they are dead before even the combat begins. Even if you manage them is really difficult to keep them alive.
So i don’t see any other choice. Of course i would like to be able to change the elite slot for another skill instead an elite but we can’t have that.
So within the limitations of the ranger i think this are the best choices i could do.
About the torch. I used the Sw/Axe before but the WD only can hit up 3 enemies. Not good enough when you want to get pressure off you.
Torch otherwise is being improved and can do a decent amount of damage as crowd control.
I have to agree with Jim on this. I don’t see any benifit from you build as oppose to using a more typical trait setup.
Just changing a few things can give you this
Have much better condition control, much better Stun Breaking options, more or less the same tankiness (more Health, less armour) and more damage (more Power, same Crit damage, same Crit Chance when factoring in the fury uptime).
And the torch would be my very last choice for a power build. Any of the other 3 OH weapons would bring way more to the table.

Thank you very much for your input. You are right and i went back to the axe offhand. I’ll try dagger that i don’t have much experience with right now.
Although i have other classes leveled the one i enjoy the most is the ranger for its pet and for its flexibility to swap between ranged and melee when it’s needed although as i pointed in other threads i think the class is needed of a lot of love from Anet.
i’m trying a new build based in your input i’ll let you know how works.
