Are bunker rangers still good for tPvP? I am wanting to get into it, and I am thinking the bunker would be better for me, but is it still a viable tPvP build?

tPvP is not hot-join, I do hot-join already and do ok, but I am wondering about guilds for tournament play.

Never played tPvP but people say Necromancers and conditions are running crazy and conditions>bunker right?.

Also people complain of ranger passive condi removal is no fast enough.

Anyways better wait for a top player to say something.

Yep I play a tank/bunker ranger and while we have ok condi removal we don’t have FAST condi removal and classes that reapply conditions at a super fast pace will own us, the conditions slice through like butter.

spirit ranger is a good choose atm if you whant prefer the ranger gameplay.
there is allrdy a stupid “spirit ranger op” topic on spvp.
but this topic is like always, created from idiots who cant believe that there are also ranger players back on tourny gameplay.

but i think a bm ranger can still do same job as in the past on tournament.
i have problems to use the spirit ranger good at maps like foefire, the point is more big and its important to hit the spirit active skills also.
but maybe i just need more practise, the build is not long out atm,
thats also a reason why ppls think its op, just because its something new on tpvp…

Idk what bunker build you use, but GS + S/D(or LB for KB) with a Moa and a bear (or double up on either of those) does really well for holding a point.

Will you kill anything? Hell no, maybe and I mean MAYBE if the fight went on for like 10 min but they sure as hell won’t be taking you out if you know what you’re doing.

Only real downsides to it is the lack of stability and throwing them off the point, but it does well against sustained DPS, condi, burst, AoE, and I’ve survived countless 1v3s for long enough for my team to show up.

Bunker rangers are still viable, they just don’t offer as much to a team fight, and aren’t as capable of standing up to the amounts of condi cleave in the meta than before necros received Dhuumfire, which when procced has the potential to melt any class if they land their fear on top of it.

The EU meta seems to favor more Bunker ranger builds than NA. Currently, most NA players have switched to a Spirit build, either with a Rabid amulet, or with a Carrion amulet for more vitality to defend themselves against the current condi heavy meta.
