So I fully admit I am kind of confused here, and hoping you kind folks can help.

I just tamed two pets, a snow leopard and a Arctodus thingy.

Snow Leopard – non-special ability is a bleed, over 11s that does 817 dmg, and there is a number 4 in the bottom right of the icon

Arctodus – Special ability is a bleed, does 112 dmg over 6.5s, no number in the bottom right.

Which bleed is stronger? Snow Leopard is 817/11 = 74.2 dmg /s, Arctodus is 17.2 dmg/s

I’m not sure how the math is supposed to work here, SL’s bleed seems so much stronger, but it’s just a normal ability, whereas Arctodus’ is a special ability and weaker.

Am I supposed to consider the stack? So 817 with 4 stacks, so one stack is 204 for 11s, so that is 18.6 dmg/s compared to 17.2 dmg/s for the arctodus.

Am I looking at this the right way? Should I also be looking at recharge rate of the ability?

And how does the stack come into play – why does one have 4 and the other doesnt have a number? Does that mean one ability can stack up to 4 times (automatically?) and the other can not stack?

Well alot of those skills actually apply 2 bleeds because they’re attacking twice.

And usually if there’s a number in the corner that means it’s 4 hits.

Best advice : get your butt to the mists and test them out lol.
