Can we get an update?
After the last debacle, I doubt we’ll get any kind of information regarding upcoming Ranger updates until they actually happen. Which is probably the smartest idea.
The “last debacle” never really should have happened. If they can’t live up to the expectation they post, they shouldn’t make the post. Any kind of continued, honest communication with us will probably work out great for cutting out the constant rage.
Honestly, if they posted that they were having trouble working with our class or something, but gave us some kind of indication that they were working on it I would be absolutely content to wait. It’s really the silence on their end after the update that frustrates me, as it indicates that they must obviously just have abandoned our class because no news is, in this case, bad news.

Exactly. Which is why I said what I said. I am assuming they learned from their mistake.
There needs to be more communication with the player base. It’s woefully inadequate at the moment. Response time, even on e-mails sent directly to ArenaNet, can be up to THREE WEEKS.
I understand they’re busy, but communication with your customers should be your number one priority if you want to keep said customers. A little honey goes a long way.

The Angry Raging Ranger
Should be the new name for this sub forum or a pub.
When a brand new character, one who hasn’t had the experience of a level 80 character comes into spvp or WvW and facerolls our pets and us in two hits, you know something is terribly wrong.
I was griefed today for not doing better as a “Warrior” but I was doing far better than my poor Ranger has ever been able to…
Griefed for being a level 11 Warrior, yet I saw several level 1 “Warriors” who did better than me in spvp when I play Ranger at 80.
We need updates so we can all go back to our beloved Rangers.
It’s not like building a car.
Like, sitting there with a plan in hand and the only thing between you and a functioning product is time and elbow grease. It’s mostly problem solving type stuff, trying new things until something works. That sounds kind of easy, but it’s not. A systems designer isn’t just taking your desires as a fan into consideration and making sure the solution they come up with isn’t horribly OP; they operate under all sorts of technological and practical constraints. It could it take months to find an answer while taking all that into account…or they could hit on it tomorrow.
I think that’s what ’it’s done when it’s done’ means as a slogan.
That’s not them covering their kittenbooties in case something goes wrong while they were mindlessly working through a finite and predictable amount of required labor, that’s them giving themselves enough time to come up with good solutions that actually work.
Personally, I think that harping that little catchphrase again would be the most honest answer to your question you could receive.
