So I found out the hard way, in the Jade Maw Fractal (20) you can’t pick up crystals while in Celestial Form. I believe you just can’t pick up anything while in that form.

Is this working as intended? Or do I need to cancel it just to pick up something.

Yes, you have to!
Same as Elem in Tornado
Same as necromancer in DS/plague/leach form
Same as Engi/warrior in rampage.
