Playing LB – S/T//A/D cele ranger for over one and ahalf a years now – works very well for my gf and me.

Shrink, I have been full cele quite some time. Just been to lazy to shoot footage. I ran s/t, a/d for the past 3 years. LB for the first time is a viable weapon choice with quickdraw trait. Loving the range again.

Nice one thank you! As I think celestial will work also really well with druid, it would be nice to have a play with something other than a pewpew zerker ranger whilst I wait for HoT.

There is a tremendous amount of synergy built into the build. I’ve given it to a few but they religiously kitten it up by making changes. DON’T DO IT!

You’re on YB right? I recognize you from playing in that same spot all day every day, haha. I ran into you a bunch of times when you were still up against FA (if you’re the guy that camps that sentry post on YB anyway.) Anyone who 1v1s a ranger roaming in that spot is just plain wasting their time.

Don’t see the benefits of this build at all, LB is power based, Torch is condi based, you don’t have enough power or condi for either of them to be significant. Don’t get me wrong I’m not trying to bash your build, I just don’t understand what the though process is behind it.

Based on the traits of this build as soon as I go into combat. My power jumps to 2200 with 80% crit. The condi is icing on the cake!

I’ve learned to love cele because it covers all your bases easily. LB isn’t so much ‘power’ in his build, it’s a long-range condi. Cele lends itself extremely well to outlasting your opponents; you have little bit of condi which is supplemented perfectly with your normal attacks that hit WAY harder than a normal condi build. And then on top of that you have healing power, vitality and toughness, making you fairly hard to kill.

Cele is very strong for rangers.

I am always game for a challenge.

Would like to see this build against decent players and builds, I stopped half way through because everyone you fought was using bad builds/not roaming builds that I couldn’t destroy on my zerker ranger.

I always save the best for last. 1 v X granted I wouldn’t put any of them in the A player category still difficult no matter the case to manage the cc of many players.

I play my mesmer almost exclusively for PVP and have played with/against you numerous times so I know how potent your builds are. You’re one of the few Rangers that stand out actually.

I was thinking of trying a build very similar to yours but with the changes below for HoT.

Druid traits:

• Druidic Clarity – Entering celestial form removes all conditions.
• Verdant Etching – Reduce glyphs recharge by 20% and activating a glyph removes 2 conditions.
• Ancient Seeds – Striking a CC’d enemy applies immobilize and bleed.

Druid utility:

• Glyph of the Tide – AOE knockback (pull when in celestial form); 25 sec cooldown.

Druid elite:

• Glyph of Unity – Tethers you to enemies. Any damage you take during the tether is propagated to enemies tethered to you.; 20 sec cooldown.

Electric wyvern for 2nd pet: F2 is a charge, stunning and knocking up enemy

Thanks Faye, I looked over your build calc. I’m not a fan of a/t simply makes u vulnerable on that weapon swap. Frankly I havent really looked at the new skills. I’ll figure them out when I can actually use them. What looks good on paper doesnt always play the way you want it to. So I’ll do some testing in spvp then move it to WVW.
