I’m really curious as to why this was changed. I was looking forward to use the Marsh Drake with its almost prehistoric maw. Yet when I finally tamed one I was pretty disappointed to find that the model had been replaced with Joe Green Drake. Anyone else feel the same way? At the very least, I hope Arenanet will consider changing it back, or adding in the Scaled Drake as a new pet later on.

I agree. I want the scaled drake model depicted in the icon. I was very disapointed with the model I ended up with.

Hardly. It’s literally a salamander drake with green skin instead of red. Doesn’t even have different horns or crests, like the Ice Drake.

I don’t like it. Even the icon looks like the general marsh drake. I was not expecting this green salamander drake. But hey, it’s better than the river drake! That thing is incredibly dumb looking.

Juvenile Bald Eagles in real life don’t have white heads or tails. It’s not until they are mature and ready to breed do they get their adult feathers. So yes, the juvenile eagle in the game is actually a juvenile Bald Eagle. If you look around a little, you will find many adult Bald Eagles with their notorious markings near where you can tame the juvenile eagle.

I agree, I would love to see the Scaled Drake instead of the current model we have now for the Marsh Drake.

Not that it’s game-breaking, but I was quite unhappy when I went to charm one of the long-nosed, shark-finned beauties and had to settle for a green version of my fire drake. The game even uses the long-snout (Sylvari) image of the March drake in the pet interface.

Sigh.

Count me in too. Especially if they left the icon there… they already have the models for that pet, why not bringing it back? I really love drakes, but we don’t need -we don’t like- a recolored version. Really.

Yeah I preferred the original marsh drake… Idk why all the hate on the river drake though, you guys just be hatein!!

PS: this is off topic, but do drakes do their tail smash again? Or is that still bugged?
