We all know that LB #4 is annoying as hell in group content because its pushing enemies away from melee players.
To improve the usability in group content without changing the function i would suggest that LB #4 works similar like SB #3. You jump back shoot at the enemy and knock him down instead of pushing him away.
You can distance yourself from the enemy and have a good CC.

Nah. This would even reduce the possibilities to fight on a node for an LB ranger.

Not a real issue, LB 4 is amazingly powerful ability, with aichent seepds its crazy poweful, no further buffs are needed.

That’s more of a problem with noobs with knockbacks of anything. I see dhs yank knockback peeps out of aoes all the time nobody gets upset cause they’re new spec

Its not a buff basically, just a QoL change. The function is pretty much the same and would make it just group/noob friendly.

how about no!! it would be a nerf to pvp as you loose the ability to force enemies off the nodes.

I have a much better idea how to fix this so hear me out: instead of changing perfectly fine skills to cater to the lowest common denominator, in this case drooling idiots, people actually learn game mechanics and how to play their class??? Sounds good?

I have an eerie feeling that a moderator is lurking nearby…..

The knockback for longbow has definitely earned its infamous renown among the group content, but it serves even more of a purpose now than just for PvP and WvW. It’s earned a useful place among Druids for either extra CC or for certain mechanics in a Raid setting. This would end up limiting our options for situations like pushing orbs in Xera, Keep Construct, and even Vale Guardian.

With the new Nightmare Tower Fractal introducing real raid mechanics, I would expect to see even more fractals with similar mechanics like pushing some type of object. So I am gonna have to say I disagree with this suggestion because Longbow 4 has found a purpose amongst group content now.

Is a Warrior just a pet without a Ranger?

Enough people realize the value in LB4 that it will never and should never change.

For the idiots in PvE, defiance bars were added to anything important. I don’t care if someone pushes a centaur away from me in Queensdale, and if they spam it on a boss, great, it’ll lower the defiance bar.
