Changes Needed. Discuss!
Anet determined it would be too confusing for players or some such nonsense.
The best we can ever hope for is the ability to pick which skill of the 3 is set to the F2 but even that still seems highly unlikely.
Confusing? What effing people are playing this game? Mentally challenged?
Heck, DS, virtues, shatter, Kits, Attunments is f1 to f4? What is confusing about that? What an effing logic. /shootsmyself.

Welcome to GW2 bro, where maximizing player base size trumps complex and engaging content.
Here’s hoping Anet really did hire a raid dev and they will stop making most of PvE revolve around 50 people wailing on a relatively harmless HP sponge with ranged auto attacks…
Wow, In all honesty, what Im suggesting was supposed to be by default. People are saying rangers rely on AI too much, now the idea of more control is also a setback.
Anyway, you might as well give feedback. I just wanna hear people’s opinions since, I have so much love for this class.

I think this would take months if not a solid year to tweak and balance. Upping pet diversity, as well as how well-controlled they could be, is a good enough tweak.
However, if you were able to make pets that much more controlled, PLUS strengthen them through a tree, you’re effectively running two toons in one. I’m sure someone would come up with some kitten RtW/Pet build.
I’d say yes to adding control, but no to adding so much specialization.

A year well spent, I thinks~
They’d have to find the sweet spot, the middle ground of the Ranger being too strong individually with the specialized pets and the Ranger being crippled by having a specialized pet. But one thing at a time. If they added more control and eased into pet depth, things might turn out well.
I’d settle for them reworking the functionally on forage (so opponents can’t use them) and for pet name to be save client-side. And I am really not to hung up on the first one.

will be nice , but its funny most of the people in pvp don’t even have the chance to pick it up .
if they do I focus the hell out of them and use the dropped item as a magnet if they do then they back off i nab the chance to get it for myself granting me a advantage. though thats other risk to take lol.
It just feels like sloppy design to have the forage skilsl work the way they currently do.

Do your enemies even see the items on the ground? I mean yea before, but ever tested it now?
I use the porcine family, and not even once did i see my target or anyone from the other team pick it up.
Or maybe they can see it and they just can’t use it. Like FGS maybe?

Just tested it in practice it can be picked up by opponents. So sloppy design is still sloppy.
