As it stands, this ability requires serious attention.

And if I’m correct, it isn’t affected by Nature’s Vengeance trait apart from stability pulsing. (But that’s a topic for bug forums)
The problem is that this ability doesn’t have a viable place in any environment. Be it PvP, WvW or PvE. It just doesn’t do it’s job.
The time required for resurrection is roughly 5 seconds. Yes, correct – 5.
1,5 to be cast, 0,5 for ability to appear and 3 for the spirit to finish the cast. By that time everybody is long dead.
For this ability to work properly, one of various changes to spirits have to be made.
Solutions:
~ Swap the sequence of Active abilities and Spirit Spawn or glue spawning to the active ability itself.
~ Make Spirits invulnerable (yes, why not? Their bonuses are inferior to banners and every other class has boons or support auras glued to themselves, not AI). I’d be willing to let go of the after-death aura providing for this.
~ Make their active abilities instant without any spirit after-cast.
If any of these changes are made, it would be possible for this amazing utility spirit to get back into the game. In it’s current state, it’s absurd to actually believe it’s going to work at all.
These changes would bring much more viability for other spirits as well, just like on demand reliable daze (Storm). These are the changes that would bring rangers back into being desired while not making us OP at all, since all of the demanded changes are possible on live even now. Just the mechanics would be different and most importantly – reliable.
