Charr ranger?
All Racial elite skills are rubbish really. For PvE, on my Charr Ranger, I use Battle Roar quite a bit though. Hoping it gets a shout skill type though… To me Hidden Pistol is one of the best skills in the game when you combine it with Ranger evades, S/D with HP and LR is evasion heaven. Artillery Barrage has one use only, Tequatl.
I can’t get enough of the Charr really, Pyre Fierceshot is my hero haha. I just love the all-fours running and other animations, they are so beastial and have many similarities to the military ancient Rome and also the 13th Century Mongols. So, for me, they fit a Ranger perfectly.
Have you seen the Charr Homelands?
A typical charr druid wouldn’t be the beatnik hippy you might think about when you think druids.
Charr are masters of their domain. When I think of a charr druid, I envision a charr who’s become closer to a primal factor of themselves.
Uncontested predators that subjugate the land to their will, fierce, nigh unassailable wardens of nature that one would do well not to end up on the wrong side of.
A boon to their friends and a relentless curse to their foes, for the land itself may as well be your enemy.
An unyielding stalker, tireless in the vast expanses of the jungle. The jungle has become his ally, but it is your foe.
Nowhere to be seen and everywhere you can’t. He is the hunter and you are the prey.
Well, you’ve sold me mate!
Charr druid -> charr on catnip
The charr have a long, long history of taming nature. Back in GW1 they took giant devourers and turned them into some of the first siege weapons. There’s multiple quests in the charr territories that involve charr finding new and creative ways to use the local wildlife. And while the charr are all about industry, they take great care to keep the environment healthy and thriving. Just look at the difference between Flame Legion controlled territory and Iron. Iron keeps their lands beautiful and lakes pure with machines to filter the water and lessen the impact their factories have on the environment, where as Flame’s water is filled with tar and all the green was burnt away a long time ago.
I mean, this is a race of creatures who taught their cattle how to do battle. They taught their COWS how to fight. The charr have a way with animals.
I love my charr ranger! I love the charr. But word to the wise the charr has a odd body shape so some medium armors look bad.
Always up wind from my prey. I want them to smell my farts!
