Questions in the title. Edit: It’s PvE related.

It seems it would be better to run Apothecary’s as to get the full potential from Power you need Precision and Ferocity as well, while with Condition Damage all you really need is.. Well, Condition Damage and potentially Duration foods.

Opinions?

after considering it myself it comes down to a different question: staff or anything else?

without staff AF generation is slow so you can’t really be a reliable healer. With staff you can’t really apply many condi’s and if you’re healing then you should be primarily in CAF as often as possible.

What part of the game are you refereeing to, just remember you have another weapon set you could use axe-torch.

In a group environment it doesn’t take much to build AF with a staff, so you could build AF as soon as you get out of CA then switch to your damage dealing set.

Also what about celestial, zealots, crusader, Minstrel, Nomads, Sherman and Magi

it kind of makes sense to have burning damage on Solar Beam doesn’t —- it? Like 1/2 second burns. Lower the direct damage if you have to.

I don’t really mind either way though, but thematically it fits.

I use Cleric’s with Staff/Longbow and a BM line as well. It works very well for me.
