You commune with your pets spirit which stows your pet in spirit mode until activated. You see the spirit of your pet following you passively. DPS pets grant the dps of the pet to the player. Tanky pets increase the toughness and vitality of the player. Healing pets grant regen and condition removal. The active effect of commune is to cause your pet to leave commune and activate their F2 skill.

Another change I would like to see is the active of Signet of the Hunt granting you the ability to see invisible enemies for a period of time. You still get the other effect, you just have a way to counter sneak thieves.

For weapon changes they need to add control to the ranger. I propose bolas with a range of 1200(main hand weapon) and a whip(main hand weapon) for 600 range.

Bolas:
Snare(immobilize opponent for two seconds).
Head Shot(stun opponent for four seconds)
One legged take down(Trip/knockdown your opponent, crippled for two seconds after they get up)

Whip:
Crack the Whip(AOE 3 second stun with 900 radius)
Slingshot(wrap the opponent with the whip and sling them in any direction you chose)
Facewhip(Knock the opponent down, stunned when they get up)

If you give Rangers more options with their main hand weapons you will increase the amount of builds they can use. Right now, axe and sword are not very competitive and force you into a box with your builds. Torch and Warhorn are great options for off hands. There just isn’t anything good for main hand weapons. There aren’t enough main hand options.

Just thinking outside the box, but I would love to see some of this implemented at a later date. It might not be this update, but it would be great to see more Ranger love come our way.

Actually, you could just add three commune with pet utility skills.

Commune with Hunter: gain dps equivalent to the output of your currently equiped pet. Active: gain five seconds of Fury and 5 stacks might.

Healthy communion: gain vitality and toughness from pet. Active: 3 seconds invulnerability.

Healers touch: pet grants the player health regen and condition removal. Active: Condition Purge and Regen granted.

Yes… A 3second stun on everything within 900yds as your auto attack wouldn’t be OP at all…. We have PLENTY of control… And no offense, but the commune thing just seems lame…

That being said… I do like the seeing invisible people by activating signet of the hunt.

I actually like the commune idea, as I’ve thought of something similar. But I don’t like anything else that’s been posted so far.
